find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)

dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

hiya, ok the standard quoted by most is 1500 a day for females 2000 for men, at 152lb i would suggest you supplement especially calcium if you are breast feeding , and drop calories to 1200 or 1000 if? you can do that. i use and recommend Melaleucas Sustain as a meal replacer. it has added vitamins to balance lost nutrition ,minerals and vitamins that occur on most diets.
also while cutting calories increase Gentle! excersize ie take the baby and the stroller and do a couple of laps of the block, increasing 1 block every day! a . its good for you! b. its good for baby too,( and you will make friends as a lovely bonus! no one can resist a bub and they wanna say hi!)
i am assuming you do?? have a safe neighbourhood. hope so!
melaleuca also have a site that gives recipies, support from fellow weight loss members and also excersize and calorie burned info when you list what you do each day. they actually pay you..yup! to loose the lbs. a dollar a day! feel free to email me if? you are curious.Laurel

A rule of thumb for any active, young healthy female is roughly 6 calories per pound of weight plus 1,100 calories per day for everyday thinking, activities, etc.
Now, if you need to lose some fat here after delivery, then we need to calculate the diet for the TARGET weight, in this case I will venture about 115-120.
1,800 calories per day is what I would recommend.
60% carbohydrates
25% protein
15% fat
spread those calories over 5 meals per day (they will be smaller meals than the typical three per day). Of the five, all of the meals will include 60/25/15 of all the macronutrients (carbs, protein, fats, EXCEPT the last meal of the day, where I want you to avoid carbs altogether.
Pick the foods from the following:
Carbs:(first four meals only )
Oatmeal
Raisins
Bananas
Apples
Vegetable of any type
Protein:
Eggs
Chicken
Fish
Low fat Yogurt
Fats: ( Be sure to take in 2 tablespoons per day of at least one of the following daily)
Safflower Oil
Sunflower Oil
Olive oil
Perform 45-60 minutes of stair master/treadmill/cycling/elliptical machine every morning on an empty stomach before breakfast days per week.
Go and perform 2 heavy weight workouts per week (one upper body, one lower body) ----keep the reps about 6-10 for upper body, while lower body will be 12-20. And go as heavy as possible(it will burn more CALORIES!)
The foods listed are low in calories, and high in potassium and vitamins. These foods will "fill you up" as you diet, so you will not be as likely to binge eat.

Ma'm,
You have not mentioned what was your weight before you conceived and your maximum wt during pregnancy. Since your wt. is on the plus side, you must reduce . You should take 1600.cals till you are breastfeeding your baby , subsequently 1300 cals/ day. You also have to tell me if your a sedentary worker or do some games, sports also
A dietician will tell you what to eat depending on the type of your food preferences.

Ask for your entrée to get served on a bed of greens rather than bed of pasta or mashed taters.

Don’t finish every last morsel on the plate, but leave a mouthful as well as two. This clever little key means your host doesn’t offer to refill your plate, and you also don’t feel tempted to opt for seconds.

Get scrubbing up! Give your maid the day off and provides your pad a good fresh. You’ll be amazed at precisely how fast you banish those bingo wings.
