Its not the 50's anymore, it fine to ask a guy out.

I think it is fine. Some men may be somewhat shy and are not even aware that a lady is interested. I don't think a woman should continue to ask a man if he declines the invitation more than twice.
One of the best ways that a woman might have to ask a man out would be if she happens to have an extra ticket to a concert, sporting event or movie.
Also, ladies... keep in mind that if a man says he can't make it, that does not necessarily mean he is not interested. Sometimes, the timing is just not right. Don't be afraid to ask a second time. Give him another chance.
I would hope that most men would be flattered if a woman asked them out.
However, I am somewhat old fashioned and I like to pay for the entire date. I also wouldn't want a woman to continue to ask me out, if I let her know that I'm definitely not interested.

it is ok I mean this isn't the 50's no more. This day and age it is ok. But country folk like me normally wait for the men to ask because some of us are shy and all that but I wait for a guy because I think men should make the first move in something like that bevcause the girl can be called whore and everything else LOL

It needs to happen more often! Women get all lit up when it comes to women's rights, but if you are so liberated, why not go ask a guy out? It's probably gonna end you up with the guy you're looking for and avoid being asked out by some dud.

i think a woman is very bold, confident, and respectable when she askes a man out. i dont think it's makes the man any less of a man. it's very good to step outside of the "rules" every once in a while and have the girl ask out a guy! i know from personal experience the outcome is great! if the guy likes u anyway

I hate doing it... I'd rather have the guy ask me out. But I have asked several guys out before, so I dont think there's anything wrong with it. If he's not getting the hint to ask me out, then I'll take matters into my own hands

I think it's cool. if I see a guy I like I am not afraid to ask him out. some guys like for the woman to take the lead.
