I have been reading articles where U.S. Citizens are trying to remove God from every aspect of the United States. What happened to Freedom of Religion? God is the only one who is being banned. People are goring to trial because they get offended. They see something where God is included and they get offended and then they want to get rid of it. You can't say God in public, read the Bible in public, say a prayer in public, put a cross on display in public, etc. What is the U.S. coming to? What's next. Remove "In God We Trust" from money, eliminate the Gettysburg address since God is mentioned and Bible verses are recited, what else? What was the foundation that our country was found on? GOD!!!! Look at the Pledge of Allegiance, "One nation under God". Now people are offended by the Pledge of Allegiance. Also look at the new presidential coins. "In God We Trust" and "E Pluribus Unum" are on the edge of the coin instead of the faces. They look like scratches. Continued...

Everything in this country is God related. Congress, Presidents, Supreme Courts, everything. Now people are getting offended and are trying to get rid of everything that is God related. What is wrong with our citizens?

Some of you are saying that you are allowed to do those things i have said that you really can't do. such as wearing th cross and stuff. well i have some examples from the Time magazine. I don't know what edition it is though. I'll soon find out. but here it is.
"The town of Oak Park, Ill., blocked a private Catholic hospital from erecting a cross on its own smokestack because, councilors say, some local residents would be offended."
"Last month the Pennsylvania Supreme Court threw out the sentence of a murderer who killed a 70-year old woman with an ax, on the ground that the prosecutor had unlawfully cited biblical law to the jury in his summation urging the death penalty."
"[Lawyer John] Whitehead entered the church-state when he defended a fourth-grade girl in California, whose teacher said she could not wear a cross on her necklace."
There are many other examples but I' ll run out of room. but i will find other examples for all those who answer this question.

No specific religion belongs in our government anywhere. That is discrimination. We need to fix a mistake. Take your capitol "G" god out, or share time with capital "A" allah, Thor, and Pagans.

First of all, you are mistaken on some very material points. You are allowed to say god in public, read from the bible in public, say prayer in public, and put a cross on display.
The constitution allows for tall this because we have freedom of religion. However we also have the right to free from government religion. The argument goes that one shouldn't spend government money to put a cross on display in a government court house. Some people aren't christian, and if you are not, they it is not fair to make it appear that the law of a christian god rules in a court house. It does not. The laws of our nation govern there.
Also our government was not founded on the christian religion. The majority of the founding fathers were not christian. For the most part they were Deists. Not many Deists still exist today because with the advances of science most have become atheists.
The pledge of allegiance did not contain the words "under god" until 1954. It was added to emphasize the fact that religion was allowed in the US as opposed to Russia where people did not have the freedom of religion. However, with the Cold War over that phrase has really no more place in the pledge.
Also "E Pluribus Unum" means "One from Many" and has nothing to do with god or religion. It is a motto of the US meaning that from many different people we have formed one country.

circumstances have replaced, yet guy hasn't. there have been sinners as undesirable as there are at present even many a while in the past. God is appropriate. i do no longer want to sound like a blasphemer right here, by using fact i'm a born lower back Christian...yet i think of that maximum individuals impute an impossibly extreme ordinary to the term 'perfection.' that form of perfection is illusory. God is appropriate, yet no longer unavoidably via the definition that guy ascribes to perfection. God isn't merciless, even nevertheless he's a basically God. God does not sin. He can not sin. This analogy is extremely mistaken, and that i renowned that..yet whilst a verify makes a mistake, do the youngsters administer the self-discipline to their verify? God is the verify parent, and all of us are his infants. we don't have the privilege or prerogative to accuse God of sinning, by using fact he's a greater physically powerful being than we. actual, we are made in God's image, yet we can not surmise that God is somewhat like us, exceptionally whilst there are so could complicated metaphors interior the Holy Bible. God is loving, and somewhat, inhumanly affected person. He supplies human beings greater possibilities than we are deserving of- yet ultimately, his persistence wanes. If human beings intentionally devote offenses and experience no contrition for them, then God could desire to hold them in charge for their iniquities.

Let's take your response by individual points:
"What happened to Freedom of Religion?"
Still here, but on life support as the Christian right which holds a LOT of power here only REALLY believes in freedom for ONE religion.
"You can't say God in public, read the Bible in public, say a prayer in public, put a cross on display in public, etc."
Please, you're free to do ANY of the above...on your own time...on your own turf. You're confusing the fredom to do it with the freedom to do it where and how you please.
Oddly enough people DO tend to be ticked off when you want to shove your beliefs down other people's throats in public forums....like schools that I ( the atheist) the Hindu, or the Wiccan pay into.
Why? Because the STATE has no right to promote one belief over another (see: The Establishment Clause) Indeed, most of the Founding Fathers were deists (God came, created the universe, then left and does not impact daily life) To promote one over another creates inequality that the FF's KNEW would create strife and conflict...so they intended that the state stay out of the whole business.
"What's next. Remove "In God We Trust" from money,"
Works for me. But it's tradition...and as I note below "God" is only Jesus because that's how you want to interpret it, not what the FF's meant for it to be.
"Look at the Pledge of Allegiance, "One nation under God". Now people are offended by the Pledge of Allegiance."
Removing that'd be fine since it only started appearing in the 1950's after the Knights of Columbus (A Christian organization) successfully lobbied to have it added as a slap against the "Godless" Commies.
So that promotes ONE specific God. The use if God in things like the GA or the Declaration of Independence speaks just to a general belief that we are a flawed, imperfect bunch and have to rely on something more innate and undefinable to guide us... they are NOT talking specifically about Allah, Jesus or any other God.
The problem with the Pledge is A) it's meant to force you to pledge loyalty to one specific God. (Something Jefferson, Adams, et al would have balked at) and B) people are attacked and ridiculed if they simply leave those words out...usually by Jesus loving folk such as yourself.
In short, please crack a book so that you can know what you're talking about AND the history of the nation you call home and stop relying on the New Testament for the whole of your education.

Our Constitution was written by Christians! The founding fathers all prayed and believed in God! This was the concept that made our country great! This is a Christian country! When "In God We Trust" is removed from our money, and The Ten Commandments are removed from our government buildings, and God is removed from America, the once great country will cease to be great! It will be run by secularists with no moral values and nothing of importance to pass to the generations after us! Make no mistake, it has been Christian blood that was spilled for the rights we all enjoy today! The history of this great nation as a Christian nation can not be erased! America will continue to be great until we cease to honor the Almighty, who made this nation into what it is! What will we do? Leave our great Christian nation to be run by air heads who do not believe in anything greater than themselves? I think not!
I have one thing to say to those folks who want to do away with God in our country.......GOD BLESS AMERICA!

simple misinterpretation of the constitution has allowed this. What it means in the constitution is that Government can not interfere (as they are now- due to cases you mentioned) with religion.
Anyway- no matter how hard they try- you can't take God out of a Christian's heart. God is present in everything. The only real way to get God out of anywhere is total destruction of all creation. That's not really what the want. They just want to discriminate against those who believe in God. As Christians we are not loud enough and vocal enough. The enemy is.
We either need to step up to the plate and defend our rights or just accept the tragedy of the loss of this great nation. Without God- we will not surive as a nation.

On a larger scale, looking at the whole- let's pull back from the finer points you've mentioned to see the bigger whole.
Try to grasp this: it is prophecied that at some time in the future certain things will happen. Two of these are that every nation will be against Israel in war, and every nation will be without God, and following instead the AntiChrist.
The stage is slowly being set. Beliefs are changing rapidly here, and in other places. You are not the only one to see the attacks coming.
In the U.S., it seems to have taken the form of a slow, deteriorating compromise of beliefs. Other countries have out and out persecution to the point of bloodshed.

Like the Roman Emperors, the US and other soveriegn nations want to be god.
Also, God holds people accountable. Most don't like that idea - because they can't get away with murder when there is an omnipotent, omniscient God telling them to be good.
Just because you take him out of public life doesn't mean He isn't there - that would be omnipresence.

Oh, please. You can pray, read, and wear a cross in public. You just can not force anyone else to do it or have government sponsored pray, reading, or have religious symbols on public buildings. The nation was not founded on God. It was founded on a creator god, not a personal one. However, over many years Christians, being the dominant religion was able to take over and get by with things that they probably shouldn't. Now other religions and lack of religions are taking back their rights and Christians are getting mad.

I have to say firstly that religion doesn't belong politics.
Ok, now what makes you think just because the word God is removed from anything that it means God has been gotten rid of. Is your faith so shallow that you feel that all the things you listed have to be seen in order for your God to exist?
Just think about it for a bit. Other religions have long had their beliefs hidden from sight. Do you think that means their God's no longer exist because of it?
Sorry but you can't include an attorney screwing up in court as something against christianity. When an attorney screws up that's the judicial system. Plus they know what can and cannot be presented in court. It was no surprise to him. He got slapped for doing something improper. His fault.

It is because of what God represents....TRUTH!!....And that is exactly what they cannot handle. If they are not the children of God, they are manipulated and provoked by the subtle messages of Satan and the evil desires of this world (envy, greed, lust, pride of life, etc.) of whom Satan is the god of. That sad truth of the matter is that they don't know why they feel this way. Their eyes have been veiled to the truth of God and they continue to walk in darkness.......This passage in Hebrews 4:12-13, convicts them in their Godless acts, and why it hurts so much to involve God in their daily lives......."For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."
