I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out where the problem lies.

I have a GMC Envoy (not sure if that matters). For some reason, my rear speakers keep going out; actually they come and go. They definitely aren't blown out because they sound fine whenever they come back in.

I'm not sure where to find the wiring to those speakers to see what is wrong. I've noticed that there is some wiring behind my glove compartment when I unhook the door and let it all the way down.

What can I check to make sure that all the connections are tight? Something definitely seems to be loose.

Thanks in advance.

KaeZoo, you're right.. both speakers do go out at the same time. I didn't get the Bose system though.. just the standard AM/FM/CD.

If both your rear speakers are coming and going at the same time, it's probably not a wiring issue. More likely is an internal problem in the head unit or factory amp. Is your Envoy equipped with a Bose audio system?

check the wiring that is connected directly to the speakers first. then start tracing the wires back to the stereo or amp depending on your system. most likely it is just a loose connection at the speakers if it does not affect them all

you're able to do this by utilising twisting the wires at the same time (watch the - +) and wrapped it with electric tape or solderng it at the same time in the previous insulating it with electric tape. yet why worry all the challenge in case you could desire to easily in basic terms purchase the perfect length of speaker cord. in case you're actually not a DIY individual in basic terms purchase the cord.
