Amnesty is a reward, and a slap in the face to all who did it legally. Think about all of those who, did the paperwork, payed the fees, and then waited, sometimes for years.

If someone is breaking the law (e.g., illegal alien criminals) they should never get citizenship. Look at what happens now - if they are illegal they have to return to their home country to start the paperwork. Why should this be changed?
We should never reward the illegal actions of people.
EDIT: I don't believe polls that say 70% of Americans want amnesty. A couple of months ago the polls said 95% DIDN'T want amnesty. The numbers can't shift that much in a short time. What was the question asked? How was it asked? You can get ANY poll say whatever you want by asking it in a way that will agree with your conclusion!

The fact that the illegal aliens are here in huge numbers doesn't in any way make their presence more acceptable.
I wonder if all the other(law breakers) criminals protested in the streets that they would be granted amnesty and their crimes rewarded. I think not they would be arrested and sent back to prison.
I think the offering of American citizenship to any law breaker/protester/demanding we circumvent the law just for them is insane. It is unprecedented in our history.(The last amnesty was wrong also ) Just because someone bangs on my door and makes a lot of noise doesn't mean I'm going to open my door and let them in.
We as a nation must think of our own legal citizens first. All colors, races and ethic legal Americans must come before any illegal aliens.
We shouldn't even have to be discussing this. Its ludicrous when you think about the premise of this.(They are illegal and they have no legal rights to demand anything ) No,its not fair and its damn sure illegal by our nations immigration laws.
I don't trust polls,it depends on who you ask and in what way the question was phrased . You can get 10 different answers from the same person by asking the question in a different way.
So much for the validity of polls about any issue .
Pro or anti. And there's a huge moral difference
between legal and illegal to me.

No, and I can't understand when polls say that 70 % of the American people support amnesty if illegals are here 5 year or more and pay back taxer. Are they not aware that amnesty would grant amnesty for all no matter how long they have been here. You can just hear the falsified documents being printed, showing that between 12-20 million illegals have been here 5 years. They are also aware paying back taxes is a joke. The illegals will be allowed to say what year and how much they want to pay.

yes, illegals get away with more then Americans. my sisters old man is in prison for 7 years for being a drug user. he didn't sell he used. he has lost a house he inherited from his father, that came from his great great grandfather. my sister is having a hard time trying to live with out her old mans help. and all this happened in Illinois. its sad when citizens of a country is treated like crap when the illegals are getting away with murder.
80 to 90% of Americans support deporting all illegals and closing the border down so they can not enter.

No. They should have to leave, and in order to return wait in line like all of the wonderful law abiding people who are trying to legally immigrate. Why should they automatically gain citizenship when others have painstakingly gone through the proper processes? Its not fair to our legal immigrants, or the citizens of our country.

New poll came out 77% of Americans support a path to citizenship for people who have a job, been here 5 years, and are willing to pay back taxes.
I think most people agree that there is no moral difference between doing "illegally" what your ancestors did "legally"
I suppose you are continuing the long tradition of hating the newest arrivals.
Notice I did not call you racist. Even though you may be.

illegal immigration cannot be equated with other crimes done in US.
Pardoning an illegal alien is not a danger to society, Pardoning a murderer, rapist or abductors may be a danger to society..
It is possible for a murderer to repeat an offence if forgiven but it is not possible for an illegal to repeat illegal entry if forgiven..
