If it is a separate life from the mother, then how can the argument that a 'woman should have the right to do with her body what she wants to do' jive with the fact that the baby inside her also has its own body?

The life of the fetus has been established. We are beyond the medical point of doubt. What does not make sense is the illogic being used to justify murder of innocent children.

Is there anyone out there who incredulously denies the life of the child?

There are plenty of people who will debate and deny a childs life. But in the end... Science and technology have advanced enough to even show that an unborn child expresses happiness and sadness and even smiles in the womb. Because the term "murder" has a legal definition that is determined by people, I'll refrain from calling it murder. But the sad fact is, killing is killing.

Whether a child passes through the birth canal or not, it's soul was placed at the moment of conception, regardless of any circumstances surrounding that conception. And indeed, whether or not you believe in hell or not, it is a real experience. Killing a precious baby for convenience, is among the most disgusting and dastardly things a woman can do. The feminist movement is built on very low self exteem and a need to be handed rights that thus far could not be earned. And abortion is sanctioned by womens understanding of the need to sleep around exchanging sex for a false sense of love. A psuedo emotion preyed on by the cunning of men who how to get what they want. It's like taking candy from a simple minded child who will give it up at a moments notice to feel wanted.

=) oh how I'm stirring fury. The truth can hurt.

uh i am not sure but i will give it a try. A fetus infitu is not classified as a human because it lives with the organs from the body in which it is and does ot have its own. It only has a DNA ut thats just about it. A fetus infitu is a child inside a child, this happens when asomething goes horribly wrong in the reproductive symtem and a baby which was supposed to be a twin gets trapped inside its brother/sister and starts growing directly proportionate to the growth of its brother/sister. So what i mean to say is that a fetus is not considered to be human in medical science vecause it does not have organs of its own and it gets it nutrition and lives with the things it gets from the body he lives in. He is just a body and nothing else.

The fetus is classified as a human product, but not as a human since it has not yet acquired autonomy (i.e., it has not yet been born) however it is HUMAN life. However that's not the case with the phases previous to the embryo when the cygot is not differentiated and therefore is almost an strange organ. Also, some medics consider that the embryo isn't also because it has not a real nerve system (and therefore no sensations, brain, etc to be a human life). However you're mentioning and mixing two separate discussions (even if they have relevance to each other). One is the medical definition of a human beginning. The other is an ethical (maybe also religious) discussion of the logics of abort.

This is sticky issue. It is never won by logic.

1. as far as science is concerned, fetus is a part of the mother. It becomes a baby only if it can come out and survive as a person.
2. If you think, as soon as a sperm fertilizes an egg, it is a baby, think about the following. How about an egg itself ? It is a baby. It can become a baby. So every woman who has period, allowed the death of a baby, and should be considered a murderer of a baby, which was waiting to be born.
3. Also every man produces millions of little babies every day. If you look under a microscope, you will see millions of little babies swimming around looking for an opportunity to fertilize and egg and come alive. So every men should be punished for not allowing these sperms to make at least 10 women pregnant every day.

this is debatable. yes, it is a separate life, and can die on its own without the mother being effected, but we are talking about the rights of the mother.

i dont support abortion, but for those who find it an option, i agree that they should be able to do as they choose.

they are not taking anything away from anyone but themselves. the fetus has no memory, no consciousness.

until birth, it is simply a body of cells living off of the host.

yes, it is a potential person, but we also have TOO many people as it is.

as far as i am concerned, aborting a fetus is just a late solution, comparable to the use of a condom.

every sperm and egg that DO NOT become a fetus, die. they are all potential humans, just as a fetus. its just an earlier stage of the process. sadly, but true.

its all about perspective.

if its not your body, and not your baby, don't worry about it.

that's the bottom line.

As President Bush said, life begins at conception and ends at execution.
Oh?
OK, so now there is a distinction between 'innocent' life and 'guilty' life ?
Sounds like a very man-made distinction to me.
How nice it is to be able to pick and choose which facts you needs to make your point and ignore all others.

Unfortunately, science can't do that, so don't throw a word around like you have any idea what you are talking about.
Stick to the religion forums, and don't try to impress the science community. You are way out of your element.

Why no longer? i'm an organ donor and don't ideas in any respect leaving my physique to medical technological awareness by using fact after i'm long gone, what use do I even have for rotting flesh? i could to boot help mankind via helping scientists make headway in looking treatments.

No one denies the life or human quality of the fetus, but the fetus is not self supporting. If you are carrying a person up a cliff, that person is dependent on you for life. If you drop that person, are you guilty of murder? If your life is slipping away, that is you will fall if you continue to carry the person, so you save your life by intentionally dropping the person, are you guilty of murder or something much less?

Where are the "right to lifers" when God kills people everyday? Shouldn't God be held to the same standard all of us are?

If an unjust war is going on, and you do nothing to stop it, aren't you as guilty as the one that lied to start the war? Won't God punish YOU for your lack of courage and convictions and send you right to hell? Each day, each of us are tested. Each day God expects us to stand up for what is right. I hope God will appreciate my courage of telling Him and you when you are taking the easy way out.

A friend told me, "God won't give you more than you can handle." If that was true, graveyards would not be required. Aren't cemeteries full of people that could not handle what God did to them?

It is only the mentally sick who will try justifying murder but let's face it if the fetus says it is human, can it live outside its mother? If no, then the mother has a say in the fetuses survival in her.

i hate it when people go on about 'murdering' the unborn child. You're not a person until you're born.. because if you weren't in that mother's body there's no way you could live if you're under 18 weeks old.
I think this topic is just pathetic, there's many more important things in life. People die everyday, people who have actually lived their lives. The foetus isn't going to know any better.
Myself, under some circumstances, I would abort a child. Why would i want to bring up a child, for example, born out of a rape or something?
