It dosent matter what type of car you are buying. Figure out what you can afford monthly and start from there. I brought a Honda Accord for 250 a month. It was used and had 30,000 miles on it. Your credit rating will also affect this. But when I brought the accord I told them I could afford 250 and they came back with a price of 320, I said no and they kept coming back with prices, Finally I lef the store. They called me the next day and were willing to come down. They started at 289, I said no, 269, I said no and finally we agreed at 256. Sure a difference in total price. My daughter following a repo less than 6 months more brought a Nissan Altima fully loaded using the same technique, she pays 260. My other daughter brought a Ford escape for 245 using the same technique. Since you hav a computer you can check out Car max and find prices in your area, you can also find kelly blue book for prices. One thing my daughter with the escape did was afer each offer she went outside to use her cell phone, she was pretending to call the other dealer we were interested in and just called a friend or just opened up the phone. The car dealers are always out to screw us so we might as well have an attack ready for them. Good luck.
