He is selling a prescription drug. He most likely will get the same sentence as selling any other drug (except for marijuana which normally has a lesser sentence).

Depends on the state because she is 17 she could be tried as an adult and could face 11 months 29 days in jail for unlawful distribution of a narcotic or presciption drug

Selling Xanax, marijuana, cocaine, meth, or any other drug carries the same penalties.

It does not matter what the drug is....the offense is referred to as Unlawful Distribution!

For a first time offense most likely the following:

Probation
Court costs and fines
Restitution
Drug Rehabilitation
Time Served

Best wishes.

Depends upon the state and location. Some states have a zero tolerance within a certain distance of schools.

Since your ex is a juvenile, probably probation.

If he/she was an adult, in my state it would be a D or C Felony, depending upon several circumstances. Let them take this as a lesson learned and lucky that they were a juvenile.

She can't be held past her 18th birthday. It was a juvenile offense.
