Did eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil kill Adam?
What was the tree of life?
Can any man attain on his own God's righteousness?
Sorry to answer your question with questions but God did say that the law destroys. Man is not righteous and God is righteous we had a separation, God's plan was to bring man to his righteousness not join man in his sin.
We by faith are changed to his righteousness and are not under law but are changed to God's righteousness which is in agreement with the law.

The ten commandments actually have a lot of basis in the Egytian religious base. This is according some people. If you read them, they are sorta close.
Persnnoally I think they are just about being a nice person and little do with following rules or laws. Being kind doesn't have to be reserved for any one religion.

The Ten Commandments have not been done away with, rather they are fulfilled in the person of Christ. Salvation by grace isn't acquired by keeping the law, but we are to work out our salvation once we receive it. The fact that we have a personal relationship with God compels us to live a righteous life before Him and the law gives us some guidelines. We do have some liberty in following the laws now that Christ has conquered death, hell and the grave. For instance, Peter was shown that he could eat all things as long as the food was blessed by God. Jesus allowed Mary to let her hair down and wash and wipe his feet with it. The disciples were sent out to the gentiles, to preach to them and live among them. These liberties were not ever done before. Basically they involve using comon sense to please God and carry out His will. They involve the heart and motive.
The scriptures you quote are telling that Jesus came first to the Jew. When the Jews rejected him as Messiah, Savior, God's Son........He then opened His ministry of the gospel to the gentiles who were more receptive to Him, thus the gospel went out to all nations and God adopted "whosoever believeth in HIm".

If you offend in one, you offend in all! Not many people keep the Sabath, which is SATURDAY! We are saved by grace! If you live by the law, you are a whore because you confess Jesus and sleep with Moses. Jesus did away with the Law. Read Romans. Paul stated it was the law that caused him to sin!

The bible also says that "I brought you the commandments so that you know when you do wrong." That is all they are, they are a tool for moral bvehavior, but our being, when we come to Christ will not need the commandments because love, kindness and understanding will be etched in our hearts, and the commandments coudl be followed withouth even knowing what they are.
