No, 16 months is not too young. Children are unique, and the age at which they are ready is also different for each child. I have 3 and 1 on the way and so far each of the three started potty training at different ages. If you child is showing signs that she is ready, then I would start the process. Be patient; for some children this is an overnight process and for others it may take months. Don't forget to show your excitement when she succeeds. It will help encourage her to do more of the same. Good luck!

No it isn't to early if she is ready. But she may have just discovered how to take off her diaper, in which case she will do it over and over because she learned something new. Potty training is a very long process which requires total comittment if it is to be successful. As a mother of 2, I have learned it cannot be forced and that your child has to be ready and sometimes they are not ready until they are as old as 3years old. Just follow your childs signs and don't force it. A great potty training tool is a book called "Once Upon A Potty" Kids love it and it comes in boy and girl versions. Good Luck, and if it is not her time don't worry just wait a while.

I just really think it depends on your child. Is she showing symptoms of being ready other then taking off her diaper. Does she tell you went she's wet her diaper or pooped in it? Otherwise she may not be ready yet. Every child is different. I have a 3 1/2 year old girl and she just started potty training last summer. So it really depends. Your daughter might be taking off her diaper just because she figured out how to, and because you are reacting to it, she is turning it into a game because she is getting your attention. I know my daughter used to do that when she was that age. We just let her do and quit making a deal out of it and she eventually stopped taking off her diaper. Hope it helps...Good Luck.

no it is not too soon
I usually potty train the minute the child walk
1- 7 month
2- 10
3 -11
but note that I have boys it is easy with them because when they need to pee their penis will get hard
and since I have a living nanny to help the use to stay with out diaper with a short
I think girls are harder
Good luck

Usually one would start girls at 18 mo, boys at 2 years. However, if she is showing signs like this, it doesn't hurt to start trying, but not too seriously. It tends to ebb and flow, so don't be discouraged if you have to go back to diapers and are frustrated. Just a tip, though. Don't use pull-ups and similar items. Kids treat them just like diapers, and they really hamper the process. Good luck.

If you start this early, be prepared to be in the process for quite a while (the early you start, the longer it takes). I would say the best time to start is between 2 & 3.

no whenever you see they are ready, if u waitto long you could miss the open window and it will be harder to do, believe me i had that problem and it was hard to deal with later on. just keep on trying.
