Well, otherwise you'd be believing in some stuff that's a thousand years or more out of date. Holy books were written by people, so you've got give them room for some serious error. Especially if you consider that what we see today has been copied hundreds of times over the years and interpreted by the copier and/or translator every time. Try getting a group of people together sitting in a circle. Whisper a phrase to the first one in the circle and have them pass it around the circle. No second chances, only whisper it once without correction. You'll be amazed at what comes out the other end of the circle. Usually has no relation at all to the original. Now imagine that done in writing for over a thousand years.

My faith doesn't ahve a book. :)
If you research history, a lot of what happened in the books DID happen. Jesus lived, he exists in many many things besides the written bible. Its just up to interpretation on whether he was divine or not. A lot of these things did happen. Of course I don't think some of them did. Or that there is another explination to them. I also think you should never stop asking questions whethere about your faith or someone else. You grow through the questions. Certainity is the first step off the path of wisdom. Blind faith isn't faith at all, its simply following directions.

Yup. The truth is often what we do not want to hear; it goes against our grain, makes us uncomfortable, the truth demands that we change!

There were a few instances recorded in the Bible when people left from following Jesus because they hit just such a stumbling block.

But, when you commit yourself to knowing and following the truth, you follow through and do change. Whether it's beliefs, behavior, whatever...
Rough? Sometimes! But afterwards, you see all the whys and how comes answered...and then you are glad.

This goes for all believers in all faith? Who are you to say that you know what people think.

I agree with you to a point, but I would be careful saying all. I know many people who take all Scripture serioulsly and follows all Bible principals.

It's all crap. Religion is crap. It is about dividing and conquering. That's all. Mental slavery.
