You aren't going to get a new bike made specifically for tri's anywhere for $150. If your lucky, and good at bidding, you MIGHT be able to pick up a decent used bike in an on line auction site.

If you are new to tri's, you might consider picking up a normal road bike. The geometry isn't the same, but as a newby, the difference will be negligable.

I got my Felt S32 about three years ago. It was the most reasonably priced new tri bike on the market at the time. It was over $1,000.

Another option, which is what I did my first couple of years, is to train on any bike you've got. For race day, rent a bike. I trained on a mountain bike outfitted with aerobars that I picked up from ebay.

You honestly can't even get a good hybrid for $150... Maybe check with your tri club or teammates and see if anyone wants to see theirs. A GOOD tri bike should be fitted for you specifically and have the components swapped out to ensure the best geometry and efficiency. If you pay nothing for a bike, you get nothing in return, remember that.

Weight is money. The less you pay, the more your bike will weigh. And then what's the point of having a 30# tri bike?? You might as well just ride a mountain bike!

My advice is to check with teammates and your club, check out slaes at local shops or look into financing a bike at your local bike shop. If you spend more your bike will last longer, be lighter and fit you better.

Good luck!!!

As others have said before me, you will not find a quality tri-bike for that price. Your best bet is ebay or craigslist for a pre-owned bike. You can find any quality new bike for that price, or at least not that I am aware of.

If you are new to the sport, I would suggest a hybrid or entry level road bike. Don't invest in a tri-bike until you have a few races under your belt and commit yourself to racing and going fast.

Good Luck!

That's really pushing it for a low price. Even Walmart can't help you there. Maybe ebay? Good luck..
