Your question is a bit confusing. Let's assume you refer to his much publicized drunken rant against the jews.
From what I've learned of his upbringing, he was very likely vomiting up things he heard over and over and over again from his father in childhood. That kind of programming stays with us, whether we believe it to be true or not.
The sober, happy Mel would (did) separate himself from such beliefs.
Haven't we all had our mouths sneak up on us? Have you never been shocked by what suddenly leapt out of your pie hole?
My oft-repeated prayer is "Oh, God, I didn't know that was in there, and I don't like it! Thanks for showing me the garbage so we can clean it up."
I have to empathize with a passionate, very talented, apparently tormented artist like Gibson.

Right about what? He made a great movie on the crucifixtion of Christ, and has made mistakes during his drunken stupor. No man is perfect. So what are you asking?

Like most everyone - he is right about a lot of things and wrong about a lot of things.
Just because he made a movie about Jesus doesn't make him perfect (neither was the movie.)

yeah he's right, coz as Jeig said, jews killed our prophet Isaac, and they should be punished, and mel gibson shows different cultures, different points of veiw, and trying at the same time to show his critic point.. i give him my blessings!!
