A large banana has about 140 calories and contains sugar that is absorbed quickly by the body (high glycemic index). A half a banana on a bowl of cornflakes isn't going to make you fat. If you eat twelve bananas a day, then yes, you'll get fat. Bananas are the highest source of potassium, a mineral that is crucially important for our body's functions.

Bananas are fine to eat as part of a balanced and varied diet plan. If you have one for a meal, such as lunch at school or work, include a whole grain snack bar and a glass of milk so you don't have a blood sugar spike-and-crash situation.

Bananas are very high in sugar in a form that gets absorbed faster than some other sugars. This can cause a temporary rise in the amount of insulin in your bloodstream which could have a tiny effect on weight loss. But if you're eating a healthy weight loss diet, bananas aren't any more harmful than any other fruit. All things in moderation.

Thats true as it has iron in it...but depends on how much bananas are you consuming per day...as per the weight loss system...1 banana = 2 other fruits.

The best way to lose weight is, 8 glasses of water per day, less of fat and carbs and having dinner 4 hours earlier before you go to sleep, for more results you could workout atleast 15min 3 times a week.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

That's not true. No they don't keep you from loosing weight. Fruits and veggies and meats are the only thing that you need to eat to loose weight. If you eat starches (ex. breads, pasta, potatoes, that will make you gain unhealthy weight.

Wow. Now healthy foods are getting you fat? No people, not excercising, not watching fatty foods is causing you to gain weight. Furthermore, there is no magic bullet diet pill. None of them are even FDA approved.

Excercise = losing weight

Sad but honest truth.
