Have you asked yourself why you put yourself on punishment? Your mom wants to make sure you get a good education and are free from distractions. One of your classes (math) is very important for your future. The others are too, but math is a basic skill needed to be able to count your income. If your mom didn't pull you out of band, the school would have. You must maintain good grades to do the fun stuff. It's a reward system.
If you take this month to get your grades together, when the month is up, you could be back in band, and maybe your mother will extend your boundaries. It's all up to you. Your mom is not being nasty, she's being a mom who wants the best for her child. Even when her child does not know what's best for his/herself.
You want out? Take the initiative. In prison, a REAL prison, inmates are allowed special privileges for good behavior. They first have to show they are worthy. You have to do the same. Your mom doesn't trust she can release you back to the world you belong to on your own. You have shown her that you cannot remain focused. Show her she's wrong.

LOL......If you do the crime....you do the time!!!
Better you should learn now that there are consequences to all of your actions..or in this case LACK of action.
The best thing you can do is to work on those classes like crazy for the next month. You should meet with your teachers and get extra help so you don't get so far behind that you can't finish out the year successfully....Summer school is NOT fun!
Come up with a plan to succeed.
If you fail to plan....you plan to fail....

You have to show that you're making an effort to do better. Get out your books and study. Talk to your teachers and see how you can improve in this (probably your last) semester of the year. Once the studying starts paying off (higher test scores), show your mom. Let her know that you're trying and that you've learned your lesson--both in word AND deed.
Then, she might relent... :-)
Just make sure you don't fall into the same pattern again. Grades are important, but the knowledge is even more important...someday, you'll thank her for making you realize this!!

If you had done your UTMOST BEST to get good grades in those subjects but no matter how hard you studied, completed all your homework ON TIME, then this punishment might be a tad harsh- - - HOWEVER, I SUSPECT that you were careless with these subjects and probably didn't do your very best, didn't work very hard and probably didn't complete homework assignments--which of COURSE would lead to doing poorly on quizes and tests in these subjects....In THAT case, then your punishment is MORE then justified....it shows that your parents CARE about you and your future....They WANT you to do well

Failing three subjects are too much. It means you did not make any effort to study hard. Parents do not want to punish their children without any reason. They also get hurts when they see you in pain. They just want you to be a responsible person. Promise your parents that you will study hard. You keep your promise not just by saying but by doing it. Show your parents that you are mature and responsible. PLS STUDY HARD.

your mother is justified in her punishment for you. the only way to get out of this is to correct what you did wrong, and that's to bring your grades up to passing. ask your teachers if you can do extra credit work to bring up your grades. get a tutor to help you out if you're having trouble understanding. when i was in school, if you even had one failing grade, the school wouldn't let you participate in any extra curricular activities at all, band included.
