when i drink a coke i dump a bag of salted peanuts in it i have sence i was a kid with glass bottles is this a southern thing or is it known around the country or world

Ain't nothing like it in the world.I was raised in the South, so I nave eaten mine like that forever and a day....

I haven't heard of that in quite a while. I used to do it when I was a teenager. That's been many moons ago.

Sadly, I can't drink coke nor eat peanuts any longer. Sigh...

I think it is a southern thing but it has caught on in other areas. I live in Indiana.

Yes it's a "Southern thing",but I have not seen anyone put peanuts in a coke since I was a child. That is way old school.

I live in Texas and it is a southern thing. I haven't done that in ages though and my daughter has never heard of it. I guess I'm neglecting her history lesson there. That goes with moonpies and fried bologna. Guess I'll have to teach her all that now.

I think it's a southern thing- they only people I've seen doing it were definitely from the south. Until I met them, I had never seen anybody do it (I live in IL), and definitely nobody does it in Europe.

Never heard of that in my travels, but then, i've never traveled to the south! Definitely never heard of it growing up in the Northeast. I'm curious whether you eat the peanuts when you're done with the soda....

I grew up in Alabama, so of path I even have performed that. additionally, I agree that Coke tasted greater proper whilst it got here in those little green glass bottles. do no longer ask me why, it basically did!

Eww...I'm from California and no, we don't do that here. I think it is a southern thing. (definitely not around the world, either. nobody in France does it)

oh cool! i put peanuts in my coke too! but i drink out of the regular plastic bottles.
