and the parallel combination of LRC is called Rejector circuit. My question is why is it that we call Acceptor as accepltor and rejector as rejector.
And in the experiment we use an audio generator. what is a audio generator. (i mean i know it generate frequencies, why why exactly is it called audio generator, certainly not because it generates human audible frequency range i.e. 20 Hz to 20KHz, because i have seen it can generate a lot more than 20KHz)

I have never heard the term receptor and rejector but it does make some sense. The series circuit is a very low impedance at resonance so it can pass tones at that frequency while the parallel circuit is a high impedance and can block them. As long s the generator has part of it's range in the audio frequencies, it will be called an audio generator.
