Sounds to me like she is understanding and forgiving. the truth about us guys is that we never know what we want until we start to loose it. You should watch more chick flick from the guys point of view more often, starting with "Anger Management". Tell your friend to conduct an experiment and break up with him and see how hard he fights to get her back... if he wants something or someone else... she'll find out. About the hurting her....She HAS TO BE SURE or YOU HAVE TO BE SURE he is doing it intensional. I hate it when I'm misunderstood as do a lot of other guys. if the hurting is physical... She should leave the B@5t@rd. not guy should harm a gal intensional or not.

Ouch. From my perspective it sounds like he's messing her around. Only two possible reasons come to mind right now... He has some issues that confuse him and he has no idea what he wants... Or he doesn't want anything serious at all, but wants to keep her close at hand so he can have some fun, but doesn't have the balls to be honest with her.
In either case, for her sanity if nothing else, she needs to get away from him. It'll screw her head up otherwise.

Actions speak louder than words. If he doesn't know what he wants, then she should move on to another guy that is going to treat her with respect - and know exactly what he wants, ... which is her.
Any guy that doesn't know what he wants is obviously contemplating love over ego. She deserves better! Let him figure it out for himself, once she's left.
I'll guarantee he'll know what he'll want then.

Just move on with her life, he obviously doesn't want her enough for it to work in the long run. She should just get out ASAP, don't drag the relationship out, it will only hurt worse eventually.

I think she should just move on. No guy is worth the time of day if he treats her like that. They either need to have a serious talk about all this, or they should go their seperate ways.

Move on with her life. There's other people out there who want to share their life.

She should get counselling. It will help her sort out what truly matters to her. You can't force her to give up what she doesn't want to.

she shouldn't let any man interfere with her studies--if he loved her he wouldn't do that. he's not concerned with her future, he is just a player--she needs to move on-
