The Old Testament commands to give 10%. However, if you read Leviticus closely, they were giving upwards for around 20 to 30%.
The New Testament - which has been in effect since the Pentecost of Acts 2 gives no specific percentage. But, we are supposed to give unbegrudginly and with a cheerful heart. Sometimes folks don't give as much as they would like to because they are stingy and sometimes because they have financial hardships. As long as they are giving in a cheerful way, then it is more acceptable than one who is giving a large percentage and is cranky about it.
I would like to give more than I do, but right now my family and I are in financial hardship. We will give more when we can. I would like to give everything if I could - but that is not practical and God does not expect that. Practically I would like to give about 15%.

The Old Testament says 10%. But it's your choice. Whatever God puts on your heart to donate is the amount you donate. You will not be cursed if you donate less than 10%, but you will hold back your own blessings.

The 10% figure is old testament. The new testament in 2 Corinthians 9:7 says - Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Well the Bible says we should tithe 1/10 (10%). That would be a minimum. As to an exact amount or percentage, it is really none of your business.

Its called tithing and I tithe ten % of my gross salary. I also give offering that's not apart from my tithe. And I give my time to the functioning of the church, helps in different areas, such as greeting people and choir, etc.

10% as my family tithe, with anything over given to various other non-profit orgs, considered an 'offering'.

over ten percent.
When you do tithe, wonderful things begin to happen to you, for you, and with you--that you NEVER could do yourself!
Only GOD loves for you to give to the gospel--and will take care of your money situation.
