Jesus said it is one thing to give up your life for someone that loves you but it is better to give up your life for a stranger.Jesus said if you cant love your fellow man than how can you love God? Jesus said love your enemies.Love those who persecute you.If your adversary tells you to carry his pack one mile carry it two.Jesus talked all about love.Jesus is love. The only thing He hates is evil.Evil and love don't mix its like oil and water.Love conquers all.It will take time but it does.Evil and greed pride are terrible.Love helping a stranger knowing you will not get paid for it and the when you do not tell anyone what you have done you will be greatly rewarded in heaven.Jesus is the greatest and the Holy Spirit will tell you what to say.Say I cant do this Lord Jesus without you doing it through me and the Holy Spirit will take over and everything will work out.God has to be in control or it will be a dead sermon.Jesus says we cant do anything without Him.God Bless I pray in Jesus Name things work out like God wants not any religion phoney bologna

I am a church goer, I think it means to treat people the way you want to be treated. Most people want to be treated with respect and honesty but don't want to give it. You get back exactly what you put out.

If you love yourself more than your possessions, is your neighbor not entitled to the same right? Think about your neighbor. What do they have that you might be jealous of, or envious of, or maybe even angry? Let us lay our differences aside and love our neighbor as we love our self. Let us be the cause that helps to reunite this world.

THE best thing I can desire for myself is going to heaven.

When I recognize, acknowledge, internalize, REALLY BELIEVE that God, my loving Father in heaven, loves my neighbor (that's anybody I run into on a daily basis) SO MUCH that He sent His Son to die on the cross for them - then, I will act the part of a follower of Christ. I'll love my neighbor (love is an action verb- DOING - not a feeling towards someone) That means I'll DO the things that lead him to a saving faith in Christ.

I love my children - that means sometimes I GIVE them something, sometimes I DEMAND EXCELLENCE of them, sometimes I SPANK them - I DO for them what it takes to help them become who they should become in Christ. If I love my neighbor, I should do whatever it is that best moves them closer to Christ.

Jesus meant by this that as we treat ourselves with respect and honor our personal dignity,so too we should treat others the same, this is truly loving yourself and not as some think that we should lavish material goods on ourselves nor to indulge in egoism.

I think He was saying that we should love our selves, and then love our neighbors in that manner. Most of us do damage to ourselves, far worse than we would allow others to do. So, in order to love our neighbors well, we have to know how to love ourselves first. People with bad self-images seem to be attracted to people who agree with them, and are locked into destructive relationships. Also, people with bad self-images can't love people who actually love them, because they think those that are trying to love them are stupid.

Jesus must have loved himself a lot. He knew how to love Mary Magdalen, without loosing her respect.

I guess we can see the meaning through what Jesus did - He loved US so much that He died for our penalty. The truest sense in loving our neighbor is to really "love" and sacrifice for others.

To put them before yourself, to meet the needs of others before your own! That is a hard task seeing as we are such a self-centered people! But God is a gracious God and meets us where we are at until we change our ways to please Him. Loving your neighbor tries your soul, but through God we can do anything. God bless you~
