Why does America make such broad generalizations in regards to ethnic groups? It only fuels the fires of hate and will ultimately lead to more losses in life.

You are very right in that is wrong for people to judge an entire religion on a few fanatics. That is like saying the murderous christians who bomb abortion clinics are what christianity is all about. They aren't and its not fair. As far as it leading to more loss in life...I lay that the bombers feet. They are JUST as close minded in thier generalizations that all Americans feel that way. It goes both ways.

I think many Americans don't like Islam because Islamic fanatics flew into the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. I think many people in Britain, Spain, Israel, Australia, and France don't like Islam as much as they once did because of terrorist attacks committed by Islamic fanatics. The Iraqis are getting sick of Islam too because of the civil war between Sunni and Shiite Muslims. To say that only Americans have an intolerance towards Islam is such a broad generalization in regards to ethnic groups, because there are so many different ethnic groups in America. It seems similar to something Adolf Hitler would have told the Jews. Hitler always wanted more cooperation from the Jewish people. Unfortunately, their willingness to submit was what caused them to be murdered so easily. You can submit to Islam if you want to. No one is preventing you from doing that.

I do not. They have as much right to be Muslims as I have a right to be an atheist, and other people to worship whatever they want. I would never base an entire population upon the actions of a very small group of individuals... (ok, I lie, I do that all of the time here... But with good reason... Those psycho Christians always start it).

It's people in religion that spreads the disdain, intolerance and hatred towards other people in different religions...

especially muslims, with their religious lies and deceptions...

Here's the Solution for muslims and religion:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

atheists = all the people in religion

Sorry but living in a country with a large Muslim population I really think the question should be

Why do Muslim refuse to integrate into the local communities?

Most of the miss trust comes from lack of understanding of the Muslim faith and images shown from extreme behaviour. For example the Danish cartoons, anti Jewish and anti- christian cartoons are shown every day in newspapers in Muslim countries, a few cartoon against Islam and half the country is burning flags.

If Muslims were more open and didn't hide when condemning extremists then more trust would be given to them.

I don't hate muslims and I do not make broad generalizations about anyone. I think that it is the media more than anyone else that tries to make people think that muslims are evil. I live around muslims and go to school with them and they are regular people just like you and me. Islam is not an evil religion promotes terrorism like some people seem to believe. The terrrorist organizations that are on the news everyday represent a very small group of people who do not reflect all muslims as a whole. If people would learn to communicate better and put aside their stupid assumptions they would realize that.

You are correct. It is politically correct hatred.

Politicians have used war, money and hatred to control their own populations, and to enslave others, for centuries. Politicians, and their lackeys in mainstream media have demonised groups, nationalities and religious faiths to give the people an enemy. Then the people will rally around the politicians and submit to them. Because of terrorism, we are expected to embrace the USA PATRIOT Act, and similar erosion of the Bill of Rights.

During WW2, it was anyone who resembled our enemies, the Japanese, even if they were American citizens. American citizens were locked up in concentration camps by our politicians.

My neighbors include a Chinese couple, Muslim couple, gay 'couple', red neck, African American family and a bunch of Midwestern bible thumpers.

We haven't had any pogroms, suicide bombings, lynchings or even rotten tomato fights since my towns founding in the 1800's.

Start addressing the intolerance toward Muslims between the Shiite and Sunni folks before you come stateside, if you don't mind.

Christianity and Islam both promote intolerance. When you have a conflict based on irrational faith in an absence of any evidence, it becomes impossible to have a rational discourse. Also, you have to understand that these people are certain that their way and god are the only paths to happy-ever after land. Life on earth doesn't matter, since they're auditioning for life "after" death.

Let's get this straight, who flamed the fire on 9/11, if they did not want a war, then they should have not caused 9/11 What muslims are today has nothing to do with The United States, Muslims just thought we will turn our tail & run, The muslims should be grateful that we did not drop a nuke on them from day one.
