Bruce. Tyson is a one minute knock out king but put him up against Bruce who can defensively protect himself add in being faster, quicker, and smarter and he will kick Tyson's azz every time! Tyson works with his hands...Bruce uses his whole body! Bruce's beginnings started with defense martial arts and then went on to include many differant forms of martial arts into one. Against what? Boxing? lol. Don't make me laugh.

Hmm that is a hard one. Both men at their peak were incredibly strong and both were good "street fighters" as well as good at their arts. Bruce Lee was perhaps the first mixed martial artist, and Tyson was a boxer.
Upon closer observation I would have to say Bruce Lee and I will tell you why. Bruce Lee was a philospical and intelligent figher. Tyson was and is a brutish street fighter with enough good people to train him and aid him in his corner. Once Cuss D'Amato died, so did Tyson's career.
Bruce Lee would be a much smaller opponent than Tyson. For this reason I am sure he would have avoided any chance for Tyson to pummel him out of hand. Likely the superior speed and stamina of Lee would have aided him, and he had kicking power to match or even exceed Tyson's punches. Bruce Lee would have studied Tyson's every fighting strength and devised ways to enter his zone, do damage and then retract before damage was done to him. "Be Like water" was his philosophy.
Unless Tyson was able to grab a hold on Bruce Lee and drive him to the ground and pummel him, over time he would be worn down and knocked out.

I would put my money on Bruce Lee if I had to make a decision.
Bruce would tire Mike out and then pick him apart.Mike is a street thug that relied on physical prowess and desire. He was entertaining as a boxer but even as a boxer he lost focus quickly.
He was only prime for about three tears, if even that long. In an extended fight he is the type of person to loose mental focus and toughness. "Don't let that rear hand drop, ask Cro Cop about that."
Mike was a thug, Bruce IS a legend.Mike is a one dimensional fighter, he is all upper body. Bruce would eat him up with kicks and leg attacks. I believe a kick from Bruce is more devastating than a punch from Mike. I know Mike had a strong upper-cut however a human leg is stronger than a human arm. So, Bruce's legs are stronger faster and better trained than Mike's hands.
I also believe Bruce has the mental advantage. He was a Philosopher primarily, not a fighter. But don't underestimate him, he was still a fighter.
Sorry Mike, you would lose.
Peace be on to you.

I would pick Bruce lee.

Martial arts does not rely on the physical build. It relies on the technique.

Mike Tyson is good at delivery strong punches only. Bruce Lee were good at hand, head and leg technique.

I would predict that Bruce Lee would use low side kick to hit Mike's shin to keep Mike away from him. If Bruce finds an opening, Bruce will pretend to jab Mike's eyes and Mike tried to lift his arms up to pretend his head; Bruce would kick his groin or his shin with his front kick. Mike would be down --- a lot of technique can be used to finish the game when Mike is down.

Mike Tyson came close to being an olympian in the many art of punching someone's fool head off, and was brutally efficient at it in his prime.

Size, strength, and viciousness all go to Tyson, Bruce might have been as fast, but was almost assuredly not faster.

Skill only takes you so far against a much larger opponent (222 pounds with 5.5% bodyfat), against about 130 pound Bruce, and with a boxer's cardio.

Heavily weighted in favour of Tyson.

I know the skinny kung fu guys will want you to believe that Bruce Lee was magic, and that you can be too, but he was only human.

"Ultimately, martial art means honestly expressing yourself. It is easy for me to put on a show and be cocky so I can show you some really fancy movement. But to express oneself honestly, not lying to oneself, and to express myself honestly enough; that my friend is very hard to do." -- Bruce Lee

Lee, a philosophy major at University of Washington, would never have taken on the barely literate Mike Tyson, a man who was antithetical to all Lee stood for. That is with the one exception that Lee loved the idea of making money.

People will debate the possibility of an outcome of such a match until the end of time.

Neither man would have taken the bait. To fight to the death and not have the glory of spending the money. Sorry, no one wins because neither was/is a chump.

Bruce Lee would analize how this would help his career, and how it would help westeners know more about martial arts. Mike Tyson would look for the promoter for this fight as to inquire how much his paycheck would be. After both fighter realize they have been pitted for no reason, they'd walk out and leave.

Bruce Lee would win because he literally is a superhuman. His power, speed, technique, and tenacity would win but he would likely need at least three to four minutes to stop tyson. Remember too Tyson was offered one million to fight Royce Gracie and didn't do it.

Bruce Lee,no competition. All he would have to do is take one eye out (Tyson's eye) and show it to the other!
