Ok, Got this problem, Im havin surgey..no idea what they're doing. If anyone has ever had this type of thing goin on, please explain the procedure....Do they use an Anesthetic or what? And whats the Healing time?

A pilonidal cyst is almost always an abscess rather that just a cyst. It occurs in the natal cleft (your butt crack).
Yes you will be given an anesthetic, either a local, a spinal or a general anesthetic depending on the size of the abscess. The surgeon will open and clean out the abscess, pack it with gauze, and give you detailed instructions on home care involving sitz baths and dressing changes.

Healing time depends on the size of the abscess. Some pilonidal "cysts" tunnel into deeper tissues. These have to be opened, otherwise the abscess will recur.

Pilonidal abscesses almost never resolve by themselves. Delay of treatment causes more extensive surgery and longer recovery.
