every other day. 30 minutes of power walking at maximum incline or running at 6-7MPH for 20 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of weightlifting. Running up and down stairs for 30 minutes is also good.

My whole family and I play Dance Dance Revolution Universe for at least an hour and a half a day. It's so much fun that the time flies by, and you really get a great workout if you do it in a difficult mode. There is also a mode created just for workouts that gives you a rough idea of how many calories you are burning. We like it because it doesn't take up much space and can be done in your own home.

There are a variety of reasons to exercise and finding the one right for you can be a fun little adventure.

I personally do Yoga. I like the slow steady movements and the relaxed enviroment. I'm also a very slender little person so.. taking up boxing or iron pumping would seem, to me, a bit bizzare.

But you have to really consider what you are going for? Cardio health?( Automated machines bikes/elipticals)
Muscle building? (Weights/Boxing)
Low Impact? (Swimming/Yoga)

Even playing a sport is great exercise and a healthy activity.

I like to blend cardio and weight training. I used to do tae bo and liked it a lot. I'll probably pick it up again once I complete this 90-day fitness program. I'm in the 3rd week and I LOVE it. It's P90X from Beachbody.com. I like it the best because it has the best blend of what I'm looking for. And I do it every night, no nights off. But, one night is yoga and another night is stretching, so it's kind of like a night off, although I sweat like nothing else during the yoga video. I get a LOT of cardio and I'm already noticing better abs and leg and arm muscles. For two weeks, it definitely beats tae bo, nothing against them though, I still love it too.

Walking is pretty much my way of exercising. I walk as often as I can. I usually forsake the bus just so I can walk. I don't need to lose weight but walking is like the ultimate way of keeping in shape with as little effort as possible. I find that I can walk for great distances and still have normal breathing. I usually wear one of these steps counting devices they have that can tell how far you've walk, the numbers of steps you've taken and calories burnt. Its a great motivation to top off the last count.

Swimming!! Your whole body gets a workout that way and depending on where you live, (like, say, the Southwest) it helps you deal with the ungodly hot temperatures! The only caveat to outdoor swimming is to be careful to use lots of sunscreen because the water will magnify the sun's rays and thus you will be more prone to sunburn.

For me, it's walking a few times a week coupled with strength training. I always fit in at least one kickboxing class. I love the way I feel afterward!

walking is cheap and easy. all you need is a good pair of shoes. I should walk more. I used to walk 3 miles every morning, but got out of the habit.

I'm a yoga fan as it's adaptable to cardio, strength, and flexibility. Cardio from a flow sequence, strength as you manipulate your own body weight, and flexibility by working to open/stretch/strengthen the muscles/ligaments/joints.
