Plasma will give you a much cleaner picture than LCD as the screen gets larger. Also, there is no response lag on Plasma, as there is on LCD. This helps when watching anything with fast moving action, such as a car race. Also, LCD typically looks digital, with lots of little square pixels moving around. I personally Hate that about LCD. I vote plasma.

Both have pluses and minuses. When I purchased my plasma TV about two years ago, I did some research. It basically came down to two things. LCD does not do the really large size screens as well as plasma.(over 40 inches) and the angle of view is greater on plasma. That means you can still see the picture at a pretty extreme angle (sitting off to the side). These two points sold me on plasma for my application.

Both, they offer great picture quality (even though LCD is more flexible as far as computer use & games ect..) Plasma still has an edge in overall picture(black level, fast motions, & the all inportant movie use) but they are both great it's a matter of pros & cons with each. What can a consumer live with or without? Bottom line you can't go wrong with either.

I prefer LCD. I have seen plasma screens turn to mush. I have had friends who had problems with plasma. I will never get a plasma anything.
