Interesting set of excuses in response to your question - interesting how the Christians want us to believe God created all the good things, but is not responsible for anything bad.

You must not forget that everything is a " test".

A lovely young man on here recently, discussing world hunger, said that "starving is a mindset" - such an interesting idea.

I wonder what sparkle9 does to make a difference...

Because He won't get in the way of something we should be doing. He empowers us to get wealth, and look at what we do with it. My family supports a young girl in the Central African Republic so that she can have clean water, food and have a chance to get an education. How comfortable are you, right now? Now, this is not bragging, because you don't know who I am, and therefore can't give me any recognition. My point is this. So many people look to God to cure the world's ills, and yet they themselves are unwilling to do anything. We started this mess, we can stop it. None of this would even exist if we hadn't deviated from His plan in the first place. Now we want Him to come in and do damage control. And to top it all off, half of his creation have the audacity to not even believe in Him!

Because God created us with free will. If God just stepped in and fixed things at every turn, we'd be little more than puppets and God would be a control-freak. Also, there is such a thing as evil, which is at work in the world. Don't believe in Satan or whatever? That's cool - just call evil people choosing NOT to love their neighbor.

God doesn't.

God has been trying very hard to punch through the white noise of MTV, sex on the internet and fanaticism, with mixed results.

Every soul, every tear matters. That is the purpose of One Heaven (see http://one-heaven.org ) to unite heaven, end hell and end cursing.

But do you know what? The people who have been most disappointing are those who fill the churches such as christians and claim to be following God...

For example, the Vatican is so wealthy (over $3,000 Billion dollars hidden away) see:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/final_testament/end_of_darkness/truth/truth_0020.htm

It could end poverty, war, disease and save this planet any day it liked. In fact its been in the position to save the world for thousands of years. Instead, year after year it gets wealthier and wealthier while the problems of the world gets worse.

God has had enough!

But which christians are listening?

It seems the atheists and non-religious are more open to the word of God than those who claim to be true followers.

So what is God to do?

He don't! We do! He created Jungles and fruit forests and we erased them! He Created fish, we polluted the water! He created Birds; we polluted the Air...

Imagine what would the amount of food be if there were no such things.

Imagine How many BILLIONS are there in the Muslim world. 2.5% "Zakat" on that money, would make all the world wealthy. but we deviated of the teaching, harmed ourselves and the others.

People starve not because of God, but because of the will of man.
Governments are responsible....such as in Africa. Also, when bad things happen, it is God allowing these things to happen (he does not override the ill will of man) because of the sins of humanity. If we all shaped up and returned to God, there would not be such misery in this world. Read what happened in the story of Jonah.

I believe that people have caused the problem and people are able to fix it. God gives us free will and we use our choices to create the messes we are in. Without intervention, we have to figure out our own solutions and take responsibility. If God is like the big parent watching over the children, it is important to let them learn from their mistakes. We are responsible for the suffering.

Blame people for this one. People rather have their drugs then to feed their kids. I know not all are like this but have seen many cases like that. There is so much goverment help out there for people to starve, but problem is it gets abused. People sale there food stamps for drugs. People are the cause of why they starve.

God has given us (mankind) the capacity to care for and feed ourselves and each other. If we choose not to, is that His fault?
