I've just got married and I'm going through a list of people I need to tell about my name change. So far I've got the bank, work, car insurance, mortgage co., and council tax office.
I'm sure I'm missing a few - any suggestions?
Thanks!

I got married 9 months ago and there are still some things I forgot, the below list may help;
Life insurance
Property (contents insurance)
Mortgage company
If you have a lease mortgage (ground rent company, management agency)
Credit cards
DVLA
Passport
Pension
Doctors
Opticians
Dentist
Water Board
Electricity company
Gas
BT (telephone)
Council Tax
Benefits Agency ( if you have any)
Mobile phone
Catalogues
Car Insurance
Rac or AA if you have them
Ebay, Paypal
Obviously your banks

The above are probally the main ones but you will probally find the odd 1 or 2 that you forget, just change them if you receive a letter.

DMV, Auto Insurance, Health insurance - all applicable doctors, Passport, Credit Cards, all utility companies (if they're in your name. Includes gas, water, electric, cable, landline and cell phones), Social Security office (this is probablt the biggest one!!), and the Board of elections - however, your DMV may be able to help with that one.

Congrats on your marriage!!
