Yes, tick bites can be quite dangerous. Not only do they carry Lyme disease, they also carry Erlichia, Babesiosis, and Bartonella.
Unfortunately, there have been many deaths related to Lyme disease (see: http://www.lymememorial.org/ ). With proper treatment, however, MANY people recover.
I am one of them.
p.s. MANY species of ticks carry tick borne illnesses (e.g., Lyme disease, Bartonella, babesia). The "only deer ticks carry Lyme" idea is a dangerous myth.

The danger with ticks is that they can carry lyme disease. If you got rid of the tick you should just observe the bite area for increased irritation and if you start to feel ill see a doctor. It isn't super likely that you will get ill however.

Deer ticks carry lyme diease. Regular ticks are most likely nothing to worry about.

it depends on what kind of tick it is and if the tick is carring a deaise you might need to get a check up on that

yes you can get sick from ticks and they are hard to remove if they get under the skin. Do not Pick at them use a match to heat them up so that they remove themself from under the skin then kill them.

ur silly, i've had over a dozen some that i supsect were the over a day and i'm here, its just if they carry a disease you could get very sick but chill, my grandpa got rocky mountain disease from one and is fine

depends where you live,they arent dangerous in the uk usually but can cause lyme disease and other diseases elsewhere
