I am a Catholic that comes here often and I don't mind non-believers being here. But I much better prefer that they ask at least some waht decent questions about our faiths and have decent remarks. The ones I can't stand are the ones that are down right rude and haven't even made a point. That's a waste of time to read. Saying that God doesn't exist is fine with me but why do some have to be childish and call Him a flying spaghetti god or an purple people eater? This is just pure crap and they know it. I think this should be more of a mature discussions. I have gone to many other sections on Yahoo Answers and I've never seen such stupidity and ignorance on another other section than I've seen on the Religion & Spirituality section.

Yes, we all have our own opinions and our own beliefs and such. That's fine. That's what makes the world go around. But what I think we can all do without is the questions and answers that contain really stupid, childish, retarded comments.

Atheist and Theist debates are the most favourite in Yahoo! solutions besides the indisputable fact that I really have considered debates on the topic of many different religions along with Pagan, Wiccan, Muslim, Jewish, Mormon, etc. those topics seem suggested merely as avidly because the Atheist vs. Theist/Christian debates.

Religion and Spirituality is different than Philosophy. Philosophy is just a mode of thinking, whatever it is. Religion is a means of expressing your belief in a power higher than yourself. Spirituality is a much more general term nowadays. Many people believe that if you enjoy trees, you're spiritual. It's a joke, but that's the new reality. Spirituality used to mean guided by the Spirit. And although I love to see some of the comments and questions from people who are the exact opposite of religious or spiritual, I sometimes question their motives here in this forum.

I'd love to hear any evidence and reasoning atheists have for their beliefs. So far, much of that has been diluted with insults. I manage to have some very intelligent conversations with my sister and brother, who are both atheists.

So what beliefs do atheists have? I would like to hear atheists pomoting their beliefs and values more, because this section IS about religion and spirituality.
