Is there a difference between a medical check-up and a physical check-up? If there is, what?

sometimes "physical exam" is used for sports physical and medical exam is used for pre employment or complete medicals. They actually mean the same, involve a history of the patient, a complete exam, may or may not include blood tests, Xrays etc. good luck
