Well it is doubtful to be as simple as describing it as a product of cultural traditions since in religious nations, cultural traditions are based heavily on religious teachings.

It is also not that certain groups have a faith that is more relevant, it is simply the religion that is dominant in that part of the world. There are all kinds of historical reasons at play here. For example, Christianity is popular in the US because it was exposed to Christianity when European settlers moved there in the 16th century and since.

it's a culture, ethnicity, religion, nationality, and religio-ethnicity. Jews and others define a "true jew" with one of the above characteristics or a combination of some or all. 1.) Cultural: Certain jewish cultural observances and traditions can be observed by those without the other characteristics of a "jew." 2.) Ethnicity: Because they have lived relatively distinct from the societies they occupy, we can understand jews as a seperate race. Though they range from dark skinned africans to blonde norwegians. This is how some people describe themselves as "half jewish" whether it is because of their father or mothers side. 3.) Religion: Jews religious beliefs revolve primarily around the Old Testament. However, if a christian refutes the new testament, few would consider him or her a "jew." 4.) Religio-ethnicity: The religio-thnicity should only be recognized as a jewish concept. The jewish religion sees a person as jewish if their mother is jewish, but not jewish if their mother is not jewish and their father is jewish. 5.) Nationality: The religion operates around the idea of a "jewish nation."

There are large populations of nearly any faith in the US. It's because we don't kill people for being other religions. I think that's cool about us. On the other hand, the Islamic countries kill Christians. So they might have large populations of Christians and Hindus, and whatever else, but you wont see them worship freely.

If your a christian, you know that it's not about the religion. it's about the relationship an individual has with the Lord. Religion and rules are nothing more then distractions to take away your attention from Him.

I wouldn't think so, Christians are everywhere and from every walk of life. It's what a person chooses to be.
