Jesus was accused by the religious hierarchy of saying He was the Son of God so they took Him and put a crown of thorns on Him they Beat Him 39 times with a whip that had glass{POTTERY} bones and sharpened rocks in it.The whip had 9 tails to it and He was ripped to shreds. They made Him carry His Cross .They nailed Him to the Cross. They left Jesus on the cross for 6 hours from 9-3.He had to lift himself up to speak. He carried all of our sins on Him.God turned His face on Jesus because God can not look at sin And Jesus said God Why Have You Forsaken Me.Then He Died .they put a sword in His side and Gods blood mixed with water as it ran down the body of Jesus. After He died the sky turned black there was a great earthquake and one of the Roman soldiers said Truly He was The Son Of God In JESUS NAME AMEN

The Gospel of John says that a soldier pierced Jesus' side, causing the flow of blood and water. Apologists claim that medical knowledge at the time would have only expected blood. Some scholars have hypothesized the 'water' as pericardial effusion and pleural effusion, and maintain that this medical anomaly would have been a fact that the author of the Gospel of John would have been tempted to leave out, had he not been interested in accurate reporting. This flow of water suggests fatal heart trauma required to release pericardial fluid. Without a functioning pericardial membrane, the pericardial fluid is not required for the heart to function; it merely acts as a lubricant between the heart may become bruised over time (due to friction between the heart and the pericardium). Roman soldiers were trained with such diligence that it is not logical to assume that someone could have survived a piercing in this region of the body. Patients undergoing invasive heart surgery have their pericardium cut open to access the heart.[27]

In the biblical narrative, following the death the sky is "darkened for 3 hours," from the sixth to the ninth hour (noon to mid-afternoon), but if this claim concerns anything more than a local phenomenon, it is backed up by no Roman historian. This could not have been a solar eclipse, as Jesus died during the time of the full moon, Nisan 14 or 15.[28]

The synoptic gospels state that the veil of the temple split at this point, and Matthew says that there were earthquakes, splitting rocks, and dead saints were resurrected.[29]

The synoptics report that the centurion in charge, seeing how Jesus had breathed his last (Mark) or seeing the events that followed (Matthew, Luke) said: "Truly this man was the Son of God" (Mark 15:39; or "Truly this was the Son of God" (Matthew 27:54); or "Surely this was a righteous man" (Luke 23:47).

For the sayings, traditionally called "The Seven Last Words," the Gospels say were given by the dying Jesus, see Sayings of Jesus on the cross

Israel was to sacrifice the lamb in the Temple for the forgiveness of their sins. They would slit the throat of the lamb to allow its soul to pour out onto the ground. The flesh was than destroyed by fire and the ashes were carried into the Most Holy of the Temple by the High Priest. He had to do this on his knees, as there was no door way. He had to crawl under the great curtain made of woven gold that completely covered the Most Holy.

Christ was the Lamb of God. As a perfect human being, his sacrifice was to remove what Adam had brought upon humans when he chose a woman over God.

Christ soul, or blood was spilled on the ground. His flesh was destroyed, leaving behind the bandages that covered him. They were rolled up and left at the foot of the pedestal. There was note cloak or other material covering him.

This fulfilled the Covenant of the Sacrificial Lamb. There after there was no longer a need to sacrifice the lamb in the Temple. Further, upon his death, the great curtain covering the Most Holy tore open exposing for all to see that God's Holy Spirit no longer resided in Israel. Prior to this time, for anyone except the High Priest to see inside the room would bring instant death.

Did Jesus die in the first place?

It is a rule in the logic of evidence that the more unusual, the more important, is the fact sought to be established, the greater in amount, the more precise and conclusive in character, must be the evidence required to establish it. An ordinary fact is established by ordinary evidence. An unusual fact, a fact of vast significance, a fact involving life, liberty, reputation, can be established only by a great amount of evidence - evidence of the best quality, evidence that will bear scrutiny and analysis. A modest amount of evidence would be sufficient to prove that a man in good health rose from his bed and dressed himself this morning. Why? Because the fact is one of most common occurrence. "But how much evidence do you suppose it would require to convince an intelligent court that a man walked down the street on his ears, and that he walked faster than a healthy athlete who followed him could walk on his well developed legs? Such a proposition could not be proved at all. And why not? Because the thing alleged is unnatural, unreasonable, impossible, and, therefore, false!

A court could more easily believe that a hundred or a thousand witnesses had been deceived by optical illusion, or that they were lying, or that they were insane, than that a man could walk a mile in a few minutes on his ears.

If, moreover, in trying to establish such an unusual proposition, the witnesses did not agree as to the facts; if they contradicted one another in vital essentials as to time, place and circumstances; do you think the court would conclude that the thing had actually happened? Now such a case would be an exact parallel to the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The thing affirmed as a fact is unnatural, unreasonable, and, according to every canon of human experience, impossible. Therefore, no amount of human testimony can make it credible.

If it were really true that Christ died and rose from the dead, the world would know the exact date he died and the date on which the resurrection took place. The date of a fact of such momentous importance could never be forgotten by the mind of man. But the Christian church till today, has never known the EXACT DATE of Christ's DEATH and RESURRECTION

So now, you decide whether Jesus died in the first place !

Political heretics and rebels were common in occupied Judea. This was a violent, rebelious part of the Roman world. The Romans crusified and persecuted many such prophets. King Herod was set up by the Romans as their puppet and he had a delicate balencing act to pull of between keeping Rome happy and pacifying religious fundamentalists at home. The people felt that the old jewish faith had failed them and were desperate to find a new answer for their many problems.

Having to look up scriptures and not understanding them can be difficult.
Adam [ and Eve] were created perfect. They were created to live forever. Our bodies renew themselves [ fact].
But at age about thirty, our bodies start to degenerate and we age...right down till we die. Why?
Adam and Eve sinned/ disobeyed. They were warned that disobedience would result in death. The apple/fruit and the tree part is actually unimportant. It is the OBEDIENCE that matters.
They were warned of the result, so this implies that there was no prospect of death IF THEY HAD BEEN OBEDIENT.
(Genesis 2:16-17) And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.
And every person since then has 'inherited' the fault of having to die. [ no argument there[
From then on, Adam and Eve were no longer perfect.
And neither are we.
But this upset somewhat , Jehovah's overall plan. And He does not make mistakes. so he supplied to us his perfect son to 'pay' a ransom sacrifice ...with his perfect life...to buy back on our behalf the 'right' [ for all people] to again live without death. Which jesus DID>
So is fulfilled Jehovah's promise at;
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

This will occur after Armageddon, when Jesus rids the earth of wickedness.

The reward for Jesus is to be returned to heaven and crowned King of God's Kingdom
What we pray for at Matthew 6; 9,10...the Lord's Prayer.

Jesus had a pre-human life in heaven BEFORE he was sent to earth...Proverbs 8; 22-31

The death of Jesus is simply our eternal life. Jesus died so we could live. In the bible it says " Be faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life." Jesus is a bridge between us and God. We dont have to do anything special. Just cross the bridge {accept Jesus} and walk hand in hand with God. Jesus is not dead. Hes alive and well.

Depends on how you want to approach this
Given that we do not have reliable evidence- and what we have comes from about a dozen people, and that the man single handed responsible for the founding of Christianity, St Paul, never met Jesus-you have two options.
1) You either take the new testament at face value or
2) There is, so far, zero evidence that he was resurrected. That he died by crucifixion is very plausible (crucifixion was the favorite form of execution of the Romans).
So Faith versus Evidence. Your choice. I have made mine

In short, crucifixion was a roman method of execution, authorized and carried out by the romans under the authority of pontius pilate, the roman governor who sentenced Jesus. roman soldiers drove the nails into his hands and feet, roman troops erected the cross and a roman solider pierced his side

ultimately(amazingly), it was God himself who put Jesus to death. this was the greatest act of divine justice ever carried out. it secured the salvation of countless millions and provided the only way God could forgive sin without compromising his holiness.
