I like your creative humor, you make people think, don't ever loose it, we need more people like you.
Actually, I'm in a wheelchair so, I'm sure the Lord understands, you're right though, it is more respectful.
However, when Moses saw the burning bush, God told him to remove his shoes: The Lord told him, "Don't come any closer. Take off your shoes, for the place where you are standing is holy ground"
What can we learn from this? When we are in His Presence, we are standing on holy ground†

God's place of worship is in our hearts and "no" I don't take my shoes off in any public place as it is written that I must treat others the way I like to be treated and when guests come to my place, I want them to leave their shoes on as I'd much rather clean the floor or vacuum than I would like to have to get rid of athlete's foot for instance... so! I do the same to them... wherever I go... but it's been so long since I set a foot in a church (since this is what you call God's house?!?)... and don't expect to be going any time soon.
I must admit though that it is not a bad thing on your part to show consideration for any one else's property by wiping the dirt off of your shoes before entering. As for the right one first? Sounds too much like a form of superstition which He, the True God abhors, really! But then again, there's not much left at all in a Church that He doesn't find disgusting so I suppose it's just par for the course! What's one more or less manifestation of disobedience??? when there are so many???

I wipe my shoes, and if entering a mosque I take them off, yet the key is what have we done with our heart-we can clean the outside but if we havent cleaned the inside we enter with an unclean heart and leave the same way. and they key to life is the true path -a person who believes Jesus recieves salvation and a new life with the power of God to live it- In this there is no problem believing a person is changed from within and forgiven of sin. Isalm is told to believe the words of Moses, Isaiah, & Messiah Jesus some do many do not=I happen to be Jewish-yet I believe the Holy Bible and the Messiah Jesus closed it after announcing salvation by repenting of sin and asking him in to be our friend-that he was closing the book and if anyone tried to add to it they would have a plague-thus it can not be improved-it is complete Revelation 1:1, 3:19&20 & chapter 22 the last book in the bible.
a proof that the bible is not tampered with which some claim--is that the Jewish people who use their Jewish scriptures still did not change their Scriptures to take out Jesus- "Unto us a child will be born, a Son given, and he will be almighty God, and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6
the other part of this is if you reject Moses commanded by God need for a blood atonement for sins-your not a muslim who believes the prophets
Moses stated "The life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it upon the altar to make atonement for your souls." Leviticus 17:11
and fulfilled in the promised one of Isaiah = "He will be exalted and made very high. He will be marred more than any man. He will sprinkle many nations. He will be despised and rejected. All we like sheep have gone astray and the Lord will make to light on Him the iniquity of us all. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins. Isaiah 52:13-53:12
NO atonement =not a believer in Jesus and or a muslim-but you can still claim to be of any religion
for some it is time to more than just clean or remove our shoes-I do hope you have too already

Muslims remove their shoes before entering the area of worship in the mosque.
Part of the preparation for prayer includes ablution which involves cleansing of face, hands, forearms and feet so they are removed for this purpose.

You may be suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder. Do you also feel the need to touch the doorknob 3 times or chant a certain word or phrase before entering a church?

Jesus cares about whats in your heart not whats on your shoes.Jesus said it is not what goes in your mouth that is important its what comes out of your mouth Jesus Is pure Love and Jesus is the only way to heaven but religion has nothing to do with it.

No. You see, where I go to church they have a new invention: Vacuum cleaners.
Maybe not crawling on the floor makes it better too.

I do not have any traditions like that. Most of my focus is on praise, worship, fellowship, serving and learning.
But it sounds like a neat thing to do I guess.
May the Lord richly bless you.
