Cut cabbage into 8 pieces and rinse in colander. Pour into pan without shaking to drain. This will be all of the water needed. The cabbage will make its own water.

Peel and slice 4 large potatoes into 1/4" slices
Peel and slice 6 carrots into 1/8" slices
Cube 1 lb. smoked ham

Place all into pot

Slice 1 stick margarine on top(optional) or 2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil(optional)

Cover and cook on med-high for 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

Cook for 7-10 minutes longer until cabbage is clear and vegetables are completely cooked.

Cubed chicken c can be substituted for ham
Chicken bouillon approx 1/2 cup can be substituted for margarine or olive oil.
