The Original Sin is the reason Christians say that human beings experience suffering - as a result of Adam and Eve's actions. Genesis 3:16-19 describes some of the punishments in more detail. This is why all Humans die, because Adam & Eve disobeyed God.

Is it really moral to punish someone for someone else's actions?

How can we even consider prompting our children to think like that?

Some may ask: 'If God is the good and loving Creator, how could he create a wicked spirit creature like Satan?' The Bible lays down the principle that all of Jehovah God's works are perfect and that all of his intelligent creatures are endowed with free will. (Deuteronomy 30:19; 32:4; Joshua 24:15; 1 Kings 18:21) The spirit person who became Satan must, therefore, have been created perfect and must have deviated from the way of truth and righteousness by deliberate choice.—John 8:44; James 1:14, 15.

In many ways, Satan's rebellious course parallels that of "the king of Tyre," who was described poetically as "perfect in beauty" and 'faultless in his ways from the day of his being created until unrighteousness was found in him.' (Ezekiel 28:11-19) Satan did not contest Jehovah's supremacy or his Creatorship. How could he, since he had been created by God? Satan did, however, challenge the way Jehovah was exercising his sovereignty. In the garden of Eden, Satan insinuated that God was depriving the first human couple of something to which they had a right and upon which their well-being depended. (Genesis 3:1-5) He succeeded in causing Adam and Eve to rebel against Jehovah's righteous sovereignty, bringing sin and death upon them and their descendants. (Genesis 3:6-19; Romans 5:12) Thus the Bible shows that Satan is the root cause of human suffering.

In my religion we believe that man will be punished for their owns sins not Adams transgression. Everybody sins. Thus everybody faces God's punishment individually. Of course Christ is the mediator.

The story of Adam & Eve is a man made fabrication. Mankind has since learned that when members of the same family bear children, the off spring are always born with genetic abnormalities.

You know Kadija that God allows these things to happen because we all have free will. Every thing is permissible, but not everything will be good.

Adam and Eve sinned and therefore the whole human race sinned. It's like you stained a white shirt. You need to wash the whole shirt, not only the stained part. The same is true with the humans.

We aren't punished for someone else's actions. Adam and Eve did introduce sin to the world. We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and the Lord has laid on Himself the iniquity of us all. We are responsible for our own sins and rebellions and there isn't one of us who hasn't sinned. The kicker here is that even though we all are sinners we don't have to be punished for even our own sins. Christ paid our penalty for us. All we have to do is ask God to forgive us and accept Christ into our hearts and lives. I have and have taught my children to do so as well. God Bless!!

Have you sinned? Sin entered the world...Sin and death... by one man. Salvation and eternal life also through one man Jesus. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. yes righteous if YOU sin and YOU have sinned. therefore the penalty of sin is death. Now the fact is God is righteous and demands the penalty be paid. God is also merciful and in his loving mercy has paid the penalty for you. Christ did overcome sin and death.

Anyone who buys into the whole concept of the Bible or any other religious book for that matter is a superstitious moron. Teach kids to be ethical and moral. Shun religion, it is irrational and hypocritical.
