recovering crack addicts they act like it or they are alcoholics they all have big problems they get paid off they are all corrupt the cops do not protect anymore they are scared just like we are how is that

Cops are just people like you and I. That is one of the biggest reasons they should be controlled better and watched better. Not all cops are crazy or bad, but the ones that are seem to get help in their affairs all around. What should take place is common sense, when one is wrong the others should not try and hide the fact and see that the law is applied as it would be for anyone else. Like the military or teaching it is a chosen career and the salary is known before joining, just to address another reply earlier.

I think that your numbers are way off. Most of the local, county, state and federal law enforcement people I have ever dealt with are some of the finest human beings you don't have the pleasure of knowing.
Most law wnforcement officers do a great job in making sure that you and yours sleep good at night.
Yes, I agree that there are some bad apples that you can blame on lax hiring processes, but what do you expect. Decorated cops are going to jail on the words of criminals and prosecutors who are looking for higher jobs.
Society is also to blame, with every year, we get officers that are younger and younger.....officers that grew up in our society where ritalin, timeouts, nose rings, purple mohawks and skate borading pot heads were accepted. Our values as a whole have gone down the drain.
Also there are more crimes and less officers, it is not that they are lazy, they are probably overlaoded with the ritalin popping, purpled haired skate boarding pot heads with nose rings....
"lulu" I hope that you never get your make up purse stolen, or wreck your car while you are on your cell phone, or get targeted by a rapist. If you should fall victim to a crime, call you local criminal to complain....don't bother calling all of the "lazy, scared cops". YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. And remember, you can say what you want about cops, they will still show up and put their life on the line so that you can be safe, YOU WILL NEED THEM, BEFORE THEY NEED YOU!!!!!

Thats a very vague question. What cops and from where? Are they getting worse or is it just being made more public?
I know alot of cops that are just doing their jobs.
You could ask where are all the crazy criminals coming from.
I have yet to meet a cop that has kidnapped rabbed and torture any little children. But hey they must be crazy if while trying to stop a drunk driver that's driving down your street they get shot at and continue to try to stop the person. A sane person would just stop and say "It's not my street. I don't care".
If you actually know of some "crazy" cop report them, go to their boss, go to your senator. There are lots of ways to get rid of them.

Do you realize how many laws they have to enforce, and they get paid so little? Only a crazy person would do their job. The only way to get good law enforcement officers on the job is to pay them a decent salary.
