Islam says the Angels are created from light and they obey God perfectly. They are by nature unable to ever disobey the Lord.

Islam says the Jinns are created from Fire and they have choice to obey or disobey God. If they obey God then they are even higher in status to the Angels since a creation that has choice is higher than a creation that has no choice.

Islam says that a Jinn worshipped so perfectly that he became leader of the Angels. He was not an angel he was a Jinn but he was honored as the leader of the Angels. His name was Azazeel and he surpassed all in heaven since he had choice and he chose to worship and obey God.

When God created man and blew his spirit into Adam everyone in the heavens were told to bow down to him. Everyone obeyed except ONE. The Jinn who out of Pride was now to be cursed and punished.

He (Now named Shaitan/Iblis) asked God to give him respite (and the ability to whisper into the hearts of mankind) till the day of Judgement and he swore that he would take Adam and all his descendants into hellfire with him out of revenge.

Shaitan (satan) whispered into the hearts of Adam and Eve and they slipped. Then God taught them how to repent and then the Lord FORGAVE them. But the Lord decreed that Mankind and the Jinns would be put on the earth for a short time and every single human would be tested. The test is to recognize that God is one with no partners (1st Commandment) and then voluntarily submit to his commandments. If upon committing mistakes they sincerely repent and come back to Gods commandments then God would forgive them, give them more Strength to ward off evil and raise them in ranks and piety.

God declared that all who follow the whispering of Satan (and the Jinns who join him) and die in a condition of disbelief will be punished in hellfire while all those who follow the guidance sent down through the Messengers and Prophets and die in a state of obedience would be returned to the Paradise by the MERCY of God.

Islam says that every sin CAN be forgiven in the **Hereafter (after death)** EXCEPT ONE. The Cardinal sin, the breaking of the FIRST COMMANDMENT……. God is one and he has no partners, he begets not nor is he begotten and there is none like unto him.

THEREFORE THE DEVIL IS NOT AN ANGEL --- HE IS A JINN.

An omnipotent being, God, cannot create a morally free agent incapable of choosing to sin. Angels and humans are morally free agents with the potential to sin.

The Allah of Islam is not the God of Christianity.

Shaitan or Iblis is what Satan is, though the Christain and Muslim story has a slight difference. In Christianity, Satan was an angel of God, named Lucifer. He disobeyed God, fought against him with many other angels on his side. God's forces were led by angel Micheal and they defeated the forces of Lucifer. So, according to Christianity, there were angels that turned evil. I see here many people, specially Christians, give derogratory remarks against Islam without knowing the basis of this religion. It would be good for such Chriatians to start thinking that if, at one point in time, some angels can turn evil, what would happen to their God if now, at this point in time, some more angels rebel against Him and this time He is not fortunate enough to defeat them?

Yes I know this, I am a Muslim!
Jinn are kind of difficult to explain, they are like humans, in that they are created, and have free will. There are good jinns and bad jinns, and most of those haunting stories and possesions are by the jinns.

I seek refuge in God from the evil he has ordained.

I have one objection to your statements

"When God created man and blew his spirit into Adam"

the wording you chose is not proper to reflect Islamic understanding, Adam does not have God's spirit in him, I don't even like talking about these things for fear of being blasphemous.

In the Qu'ran, it states when the soul which he created for him, this is not the same as the Christian notion of being created in the image of God....

[015:029] "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves to him."

The thing is there is a material heaven (in the material world known as the heavenly planets) they are the sun, moon, mars,Jupiter, etc. And there is an eternal spiritual Heaven called Vaikunta. In the material heaven their are higher angels and there are demons and they fight one antoher for supremacy over their dominions. There is no war or fighting or demons in the spiritual Heaven. That is the supreme home where when one goes no one returns. But in the material heaven they go up and down life after life. That is why it says in the bible 10,000 years tehy will return. Because they are referring to the material heaven. Read Bhagavad Gita As it is BY BHaktivedanta Prabhupada- on this topic and so much more.

The Christian belief is that Satan was a fallen angel. He was an angel who became deviant and went counter to God. The Jewish belief is that Satan is an angel working *for* God; this ensures that their religion remains strictly monotheistic. The Muslim belief, however, aims in the middle by stating that Satan is not an angel but is a being with will. Satan is ultimately working for the Muslim God but his actions are not chosen by God, if I understand the religion correctly.

By the way, I don't understand what you're trying to prove. Your belief is merely a mixer of the Judeo-Christian belief.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels who had sinned, but having cast them down to the deepest pit of gloom has delivered them to chains of darkness to be kept for judgment; (Darby)

The angels that sinned are called demons. The chief of the demons is Satan, still the ruler of this world as the state of affairs testify so clearly to.

There is deference between Angels and Jins.
God Almighty created Angels with no free will. While Jins are like humans. But Humans made of Dust, while Jins are made of Fire.

Iblees(Satan) was a Jin, not Angel.

by the way, in Judaism Angels do not have true free will either.

there is no angelic rebellion.

and theres no Jinn's in Judaism.

in fact theres no DEVIL in Judaism either.

in Judaism "The Satan" is an ANGEL entirely under god's command, that works like God's prosecutor. not evil. not outside of god's control, not revolutionary.

there is no devil. only God.

I don't know. All I know is that Muslims for some reason have been killing people in the name of religion for over 1400 years. They have also been trying to spread propaganda over the internet for over a decade. Can anyone tell me why they are doing those two things?

Angels have free will just like us. God wants servants that love him from their hearts not because they are programmed to, and this goes for his angels as well.
