A Human with wings and bird wings at that! Sounds like a little evolution to me going on here! Do you know they just found out and can prove it, that the chicken is related to the dinosaur! Maybe we also have bird in us, this is why angels are depicted the way they are!

The reality all the pictures we have that have any religious menaing at all were done by mere humans with vivid imaginations. And to help those vivid imaginations they used people from their time (sort of like the way we use models today) and props to give a realistic feature to it (they didn't have digital camera's then ,so painting needed someone to dress up & be very, very patient!)
The other thing is that angels move from place to place & through the heavens, so poeple looked at what could move through the sky & saw birds.... you can figure out the rest.

Has anyone living recently seen a angle with wings, are we 100% sure that they have wings? If they do could it be that God created them that way? When is the last time you seen a flying dinasaur, have there been any fossils found? Has a dog always been a dog or did he evolve from a turkey, where is the missing link ? Where is a fossil of something evolving from one thing to another? Did any of the dinosaurs ever have feathers or chicken lips!

Also, the Bible says they merely appear a humans, not are humans. As spirit beings, the essentially intelligent forms of Plasma Energy, with the ability to cross into our realm from theirs. They have to alter their mass in order for them to reflect light to be seen. How we perceive that depends on our own perceptions and understanding of what is beyond imagination.

I wasn't conscious that any one rather believed that the Renaissance artist's renderings have been literal! yet I should not be taken aback considering evolutionists rather have faith the artist's renderings of Neanderthal guy is nearly a police caricature! those are all from the artist's mind's eye. I don't believe angels have wings but do believe they can fly.
Angels are not like humans they are a entirely different creation.

Because religious people are...well, people. And they only have the images of what they've seen to draw from. So when they make up stuff, like angels, no one has ever really seen an angel, so someone...somewhere..had to think of something.
That's what we call a "complex idea".

Spiritual beings would not need wings for travel. Angels are silly creations of men, not God.
