You are citing I Timothy 6:10
Actually, the original Greek indicates "The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil"
not "all evil", which suggests every evil is rooted in the love of money, which is simply not true.

Compare renderings in different translations if you are skeptical:

The love of Money is the root of all evil. It does not say Money is the root but the love of.Because it can cause so many bad things. It is not a sin but it can be the cause of sinning

Inequality is probably as close as you'll get.
Money (or the love of money) is a gross simplification. There was crime before the concept of money was invented, back when people were trading chickens for goats or whatever. People still stole chickens, because there was inequality in the distribution of chickens. Money is incidental.
Of course the idea of a concept as broad as 'evil' having a single cause is absurd.

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Religion. ... But, "Dawkins has stated that the notion of *anything* being the root of all evil is ridiculous." ... "The God Delusion explores the unproven beliefs that are treated as factual by many religions and the extremes to which some followers have taken them."

The Bible lets know in more than one place that pride is at the root of all our problems, and that is true, upon reflection.

There is a door within men.... Hidden.... just as there is the common man and the side of man which a man will show the world......

but, if he taps on that internal "door"...... or ventures to that place within, he can free that evil essence of himself...... which tend to say, 'the devil made me do it".......

Sometimes, it is but a mere suggestion..... The spirits roundabout us are privy to offering suggestion based on our interests..... sometimes, those interests border that evil plane.... and so suggestions are based on the spirits that are attracted to that attribute.......

Once tapped, we allow it to enter one of 5 ways.... through touch, scent, sight, hearing.... or taste.....

One of these will it enter... maybe a memory will be touched... maybe the sight of something disturbing... maybe the smell of something vile... or the sound of something we once abandoned will set that door open.......

Men are only men, until they free that evil within...... then they become monsters......... Even those who claim to love God have fallen...... remember the woman who killed her pastor husband? or the one who killed her children saying, "satan made me do it"?..... Some have even said "god".... made them do such evil things.... truth is.... one of these ways..... the spirit of evil was able to tap into their spirit.... and that evil within was freed.......

Christ says that once the evil is able to enter..... it will bring with it several more, making the state of that one, worse than what he was before......

I have seen them in people's dreams alot..... "Stay away from those doors that feel unkind.... these are the ones within".......
This place is nothing to toy with....... and it is truth!!!!
