So much has been changed and even added (to make the Trinity look more biblical) that it is beyond scary.

Men are adding things and it has only been 100 years.

Can you imagine what they have done during the past 2,000 years !!

which version of the bible do you have?
I have 3 different versions in hard copy (King James, New King James, New International Version) a whole lot of others on computer. although wording varies slightly, look at how people talked then to know, how people wrote from then to now, and you see a whole new language really, so the bible has been translated to modern english which makesit easier to understand for so many people. (if I have doubts as to a particular part I check with all the other bibles I have -especially the hardcopy ones) and you find that there is virtually no difference but language changes an example of this I have a King James Version that belonged to my great grandmother who was born in1903, and comparing that to a King James version that I bought 3 years ago....... no difference.
If the bibles I have, all say the same thing but translated to the language desired, then it tells us nothing has been added or taken away in that time.
So you might need to check the version you are referring to as well as the version you are comparing to and let your fellow Answerers know what they are. That way you get a more accurate answer suiting the question.

Remember the individual chapters written by humans 1700 years ago. The meat has always been what Jesus did and said. Descriptions of things, places etc. aren't as important as the actions. Old English and middle English may change meanings and be harder to read so if it's too difficult . switch to Good News for modern man. Jesus wouldn't mind

I'd like to see this Bible as well! It is true, many times things have been added and twisted. I still believe in the Trinity though. The Trinity is apparent from the beginning in Genesis. What does your copy say in Genesis 1:26?

Don't kid yourself ... and don't try to mislead everyone else ... anybody can check the original 4th century Latin Vulgate Catholic Bible against the early English translations, and against the translations of today.

There's not that many changes, and most of them are simply adaptations to modern language and phrases.

And there's plenty of commentary and documentation to explain it all.

The trinity was well known and properly understood by the apostles, from the day of Pentecost, while the Blessed Virgin Mary clearly understood the concept from the moment of Chrst's conception.

Nobody needs to imagine anything ... unless they're too lazy or too lame to do their own research ... and that seems to be you!

There are so many different versions being made now. There's even rumored to be a new translation that takes out anything that would be considered offensive(like anti-homosexual passages and others). The only way to find out what is really being said is to do your research and find out what the original Hebrew said and interpret it yourself. Or... you can research what translation is the closest to the true meaning and only read that one.

I don't know what translation you're using, but Bible translations are made from the oldest reliable manuscripts available. So the more time that goes by, the more accurate the translations should be. As for the doctrine of the Trinity, Jesus taught it and claimed Himself to be God. And backed up His claims by rising from the dead.

The changes to the bible are accelerating and with each new version that comes out alleging to make things clearer, more and more things are changed to support the doctrines of men.

I'm angry that it's not more different! They should update as often as Bill Gates updates Windows!
