Rose Marie - If he'd return one of those children somewhere in the world who died of hunger, disease, or violent acts, then I'll gladly take their place if it will satisfy god's bloodlust.

How is it a lie that god has murdered women and children? Please...you can lie for your faith, but don't just ignore your own holy book. In one instance, he sent a bear to kill 40 children because they mad fun of some old guy.
Then, he murdered all of the first-born in egypt....that was pretty awful.
But don't let those little nasty bits of your bible get in your way.

Of course you're perfect, just, and omnipotent, so you should know better, huh?

Here are 2 better question:

1). Why do atheists see themselves as "gods?"

2). Why do atheists choose not to believe in God in the first place?

Answer to the 2 questions above: Because by doing so (both numbers 1 and 2 above), things like adultery, stealing, etc. are suddenly ok and acceptable.

By the way, ALL people (including you) are inherently evil. Just look at the thoughts you have. You have also lied, killed (animals, bugs, etc.), desired something that belongs to someone else, etc. In short, atheists really need to get over themselves. Reality bites, huh?

He giveth life and he taketh life away. He has that right. For without Him nobody would even be alive in the first place.

"See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand." Deut 32:29.

We realize, then, that the application of laws changes at the command of the lawgiver. Our only safety is in knowing and obeying that Holy Spirit which whispers truth. The Prophet Joseph Smith taught: “God said, ‘Thou shalt not kill;’ at another time He said, ‘Thou shalt utterly destroy.’ This is the principle on which the government of heaven is conducted—by revelation adapted to the circumstances in which the children of the kingdom are placed. Whatever God requires is right, no matter what it is, although we may not see the reason thereof till long after the events transpire. … Everything that God gives us is lawful and right.” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 256.)

The Bible is clearly a load of b@llocks.
Who is their right mind believes Noah's Ark?
Jonah and the whale?
PLEEEASE!
God is an energy and not some bloke on a cloud playing a harp.
The Bible was created to control people much the same as governments do today. Be good little citizens and do as you are told or you'll burn in hell.
Scaremongers and nothing more.
It's a damn shame that Marxism never took off.

You really don't understand the God of the Bible. I'm not trying to convince or convert you in any way, only explain your problem with theodicy. The God of the Bible is an absolute God, when He says he is good, there is no standard outside Himself in which He compares Himself to be good. He's a standard unto himself. If he were to crush this planet and kill every life form here, he would be good, just and loving in doing so; because, He did it.

Maybe you think that cause in some religions they say that they had to to die...cause God needed another Angel...but God doesnt kill inocent people and the people he has judge and killed in the past he gave them changes before he acted that way like Noah's times and Egypts with Moses and others ...but in this centuries he has not killed no one nor he has judge now one yet...but we are living in the end of times and even Jesus said that is was going to get worse...Mathew 24:3-14 but that was going to be sings of his coming...and the governor of this world is the devil right now and humans are the ones doing wars, our country is an example of this but God he is not to blame he want you to be saved therefore studie your bible with the Jehovah Witnesess for free...ok James 1:13-15 ok...

God does not kill. God gives life. If you think about it, it's PEOPLE like you and me who kill. Murder, homicide, whatever. They are committed by people. Everything that has a BEGINNING has an END. Always remember that. Those who die early due to sickness, it's because of their carelessness, or they weren't able to take care of themselves. Those who die due to accidents, well, there is always a person responsible. Plus, what's up with this question anyway? They are now peacefully living with God, and I'm sure they're happy. Don't blame Him for every little thing, you know.

Sorry buddy...he takes all the poor innocent children and good women because he only takes the good ones. He takes the good and the innocent to be with him not to suffer on earth which he gave Satan control over. That is why all this bad crap happens on earth because Satan is in charge. If the bad or evil people live longer then I guess you'll be here quite a while!

Get some new material, champ. Your atheist heroes in Soviet Russia, Red China, North/South Vietnam, The Sudan, Rwanda, and a host of others killed more people than God ever alledgedly did. And let's not forget how many your hero scientists' A-bomb killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Cha-ching, cha-ching. Tally that blood count up.

What is He supposed to do? Let people live forever? Do you know how freakin crowded the Earth would be in no one died, ever?? Everyone's gotta die... He even let His own son die! Sheesh. Grow up.
edit: by the way, the only first-borns that died were those of sinful non-believers.

Do you know what free will is ? It means we have to make good and bad choices. Sometimes God and the Holy Spirit will intervene but sometimes , not. You are not the ultimate spirit who can judge God, it's the other way around. God doesn't kill anyone, he gives life, we have to decide what we are going to do with it.
