We have had it checked by computers, new mufler, new tailpipe, you name it and it keeps doing the same thing! Everyone including the dealer keeps saying it is time to replace it! It has 200,000 miles on it and we have spent a fortune on it. We have done everything different mechanics have said to do including the dealer.

Could you be a little bit more specific?

Dies ever ten seconds and blows bubbles out the tail pipe?

Agree with the crankshaft sensor,,,DO NOT look for your mass air flow sensor as requested above..you do not have one!! Might try finding the sensor and plug and unplug the wiring connector. This sensor generates VERY low AC current and small corrosion will cause intermittant operation. If it helps,,do not think is fixed. For safety replace the sensor. Drivers side approx 15 degrees to the side on bell housing. You can also pull and see if has some metal shavings on it. If the engine has been properly maintained,,200000 miles is not a big deal.

need to be a little more specific on the time frame that this has been happening...my jeep cherokee lmtd. done the same thing for about a week or two then it just wouldnt start anymore (no fire going to the plugs at all), after about 500 dollars in unnecessary parts we figured out it was a little $25 part called the crankshaft position sensor ( it is located on top of the transmission bell housing and are notorious for going out in these jeeps) it started up good as new and i took all the new parts back off and replaced them with the old ones and got my money back....lol...

A lot of thing can cause this problem, are there any light on? if yes use a scanner to get the code and that will lead to the right repair, check for disconnected wires and hoses as well. Good Luck and GOD Bless

guy i think your discomfort. I replaced each thing digital in a 1994 Cherokee, which contain the computing device and cord harness. it may run effective then impulsively it may die. nicely some year and $1000 later it ended up being the ignition activate the steerage column (no longer the foremost, down decrease). basically replaced it out 3 weeks in the past and have not had a difficulty because.
