There needs to be immigration reform...STRICT REFORM! Strict meaning English is the national language; Children born to illegals become the citizens of the country from which the parent(s) are from; a six month window is given to illegals presently in the U.S. to register with the government. Any illegals identified after that time are charged with a FELONY and serve time and are subsequently deported; the southern boarder of the United States is secured. Not only with a fence but with a one mile buffer zone that is patrolled by highly mobile response teams that are notified by manned and unmanned sources; no benefits or public services offered to illegals unless an individual’s life is threatened.
Does this sound harsh? Not really when you have a large group of citizens and illegals burning the U.S. flag and demanding that citizens of this country conform to the wishes of the people that shouldn't be here to begin with!

My take is that almost none of us KNOWS enough about the immigration laws or statistics to be blowing quite so hard as some do.
I have tried to find out what the yearly "quota" is for various nationalities, i.e. Ireland, Haiti, Iran, Canada, Mexico. But I can't find them. Anyone know where to look?

it's fine the way it is. and it's not a lack of enforcement. it's just we don't have enough people to enforce it. border patrol do not have enough people working for them to do what they would like to do. and the hard part is when people succesfully make it into the country it's hard for them to tell if a person is illegal or not. and you can't even think that hispanics are the only illegal immigrants. many people have that mentality. you can have illegal immigrants from every country. England as well. so that makes it even harder. There's just too much to actually keep every single illegal out of america.

We must enforce our current laws!
No amnesty! Closed borders! Build the wall! treat the 14th amendment how it was intended - no anchor babies! Jail employers of illegals. Deport and/or jail ALL illegal alien criminals.
Remember, this is not a racist issue - it is about our laws. Illegal are criminals because they are breaking our laws!
What part of ILLEGAL is so hard to understand?

DEAL WITH THE BORDER ISSUE REALLY STRICTLY. NO IFS OR BUTS. PLUS TOUGHEN THE LAWS.
THE ONES HERE ; DIVIDE THEM IN GROUPS BY YEARS. 1 TO 3 , 3 TO 6 , 6 TO 9 , 9 TO 12 , 12 TO 15 , 15 AND OVER. FINE THEM $ 3000 /- EACH, AND START THE CITIZEN PROCEDURE WITH THOSE COMPLETING 15 YEARS. THEY HAVE TO PROVE WHEN THEY GOT HERE, PROVE THEY HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORDS, PROVE THEY DO NOT DEAL WITH OR TAKE DRUGS , NOT MEMBERS OF ANY GANGS, OWN NO KIND OF WEAPONS, LEARN ENGLISH, DO NOT TRAVEL TO THEIR COUNTRIES TILL THEY ARE LEGAL , NOR HAVE ANY FAMILY MEMBERS COMING TO THE US . AFTER LEGALIZATION [ 15 YEARS] , THEY COULD SPONSOR SEVEN OR SO PEOPLE; THAT IS, IF THEY DON'T HAVE ANY RELATIVES ALREADY HERE. THIS, HAS TO BE DONE WHEN THEY FIRST COME OUT FROM THE SHADOWS, THOSE SEVEN PEOPLE, SHOULD THAN HAVE TO GO TO THEIR NEAREST US EMBASSY IN THEIR COUNTRY, AND HAVE THEIR NAMES, ADDRESSES, FINGER PRINTS,PHOTOS , CLEAN CRIMINAL REPORTS , OCCUPATION AND HEALTH ENTERED INTO THE EMBASSY'S DATA-BASE. AFTER THE SPONSOR GETS HIS/HER CITIZENSHIP, THOSE PEOPLE CAN COME HERE IF THEY WANT TO , NO MATTER WHAT THE AGE. IF FOR ANY REASON , ONE OR MORE OF THE ORIGINAL GROUP IS CHANGED, THE US GOVERMENT HAS TO BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE , AND THE NEW PERSON HAS TO GO THROUGH THE FULL PROCESS .
THOSE ALREADY HERE , HAVE TO GIVE UP THEIR PREVIOUS COUNTRY'S CITIZENSHIP AT ONCE , NOT MARRY TILL THEY HAVE COMPLETED FIVE YEARS LIVING HERE, THE FIRST CHILD AFTER THREE YEARS AND THE SECOND, THREE YEARS LATER. IF THEY DON'T DO SO, THEY GO BACK TO THE END OF THE LINE, STARTING ALL OVER AGAIN , INCLUDING THE FINE, WHICH THAN IS, $ 9000/- . OR GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY, AND COME LEGALLY. THEY WOULD BE IN OUR FILES; RESULTING IN EASY TRACKING.
THE NET RESULT ? ALL TWELVE MILLION OR SO, WILL BE IN THE SYSTEM , PAY TAX , DO NOTHING ILLEGAL , NO SHAM MARRIAGES , SLOWER POPULATION GROWTH AND SPEND FIFTEEN YEARS TO BECOME A CITIZEN. IF A PERSON IS WILLING TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT, HE /SHE DESERVES CITIZENSHIP ! THIS SHOULD ALSO APPLY TO THOSE WHO CAME FIFTEEN YEARS AGO LEGALLY, APPLIED FOR ASYLUM , GOT WORK PERMITS, WORKED AND PAID TAXES, WERE DENIED ASYLUM, DUE TO NO TANGIBLE PROOF OF PERSECUTION , AGREED TO GO BACK, BUT DID NOT . PROVIDED THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY CRIMINAL RECORDS, ARE DRUG FREE, ARE ALL BY THEMSELVES, HAVE NOT LEFT THE COUNTRY FOR FIFTEEN YEARS, HAVE AT LEAST SEVENTY-FIVE LEGAL AMERICANS WHO WOULD VOUCH FOR THEM, HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE , NOT TAKEN ANY GOVERMENT HELP AND SHOW THEY PAID TAXES WHEN THEY WERE WORKING LEGALLY. ALL THESE , PLUS THE OTHER GUIDE LINES MENTIONED ABOVE, SHOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS FOR THEIR CAUSE . .

There is not solution. Things have gone past a solution unless there is an amnesty for the people who have been here for years and have children who are US citizens.
We need to make sure these people pay taxes
