You need to see a professional about this before you yourself make a decision and before you take the advice of random people online.

But if you want to trust mine, I'll tell you that depression at your age is VERY common and many, many people your age take antidepressant medication. It is quite safe, and a psychiatrist and therapist will help to monitor the way it affects you. It's worth a try if you can't seem to get to the bottom of what's bothering you by yourself.

You really need to see a counselor that you can talk too. You can't solve this type of feeling alone. There are many people of all ages who experience these same feelings and are helped by professionals. I am one of them. You are not alone. You are much to young to be so unhappy. Talk to your parents, tell them your feelings and ask for help.

I think before you look at mediciation, you should go see a school counsellor or your doctor or someone that you trust to talk about anything that is boethering you. If you're having suicidal thoughts, DON'T wait, do it tomorrow..get some help dear, and good luck!

See a psychologist AND take medicine. that is the best approach. some people have issues talking to a complete stranger. the medicine involves none of that, and it works.

ok kalyn ima help u out as much as i can, first that was happening to me, it had alot of reasons for it happening then it really didnt but i would be all depresed, so i tell my mom and she thinks oh its beecause your growing up, so after a week i just feel all depresed and down, so my mom takes me to my doctor and she says i should go see a sicietrist, so im like ok no no no, the doctor gave me a number to call and make the appointment of course i didnt do it, i felt i was gonna be treated like a crasy person which my mom told me i wouldnt be, so after 4-5-6-7 weeks i think it was i started getting over it be going out more talking to people more, (oh oh and this is what reeally helped me out i would listen to some good music, dont listen to music thats gonna make you sad or get u down trust me, i mostly listend to insane clown posee becuase ther all wild and alive, so i would get cheerie and start getting happy and i would listen to 50 cent and music that was all good and stuff) and i would go out with my girlfriend and just hanging with my friends and i totaly got over it and was all happy and stuff, it came back sometimes for like a day, just three weekks ago i almost got a painc attack in the middle of the night which was preety scary waking up all confused in the pitch dark but i quikly turned my music on and then felt smooth and good, it was because of a "end of the world type of dream", but basicly its nothing else but you, depresion is just a word it really means nothing, you are the one that started it and can end it with allitle bit of time and what you decide will help you to get over it. remember you and those around you can help you, medicine is not really a good thing to go for, if it is possible for you to destroy it yourself with the help of your loved ones around you. when you get over "depresion" email me just click in my name and youll find my email but email me seperatly from you email because i have it on not to get mail but anyways when you get over it email me because i know you will get over it if you want to, and so that i can congratulate you.

First of all, please tell your parents how you are feeling. Then they should make an appointment for you. You may or may not need medication. That is up to the doctor to decide. Sometimes therapy and lifestyle changes are all you need.
