Well when you get a new phone line it comes with many added services like caller ID, voice-mail services, forwarding, call waiting, etc and most of these services are paid services, and the good part is that you are not informed about your services included in your plan unless you ask them if there are any extras, and one of these features which is included in your phone is that your phone will not accept any calls from persons who hide their phone # due to their personal reasons and this is a paid service which you may be paying in your phone bill every month. Well you have 2 solutions to your problem:
1) Either unsubscribe this feature of not accepting phone calls from blocked phone #
2)Or ask all your friends and contacts who call you to unblock their phone #
Well the 2nd option is better for you as you can only accept calls from persons who haven`t blocked their phone # while calling you.
In this way you know who is calling you and can block all unidentified calls automatically.

i think you have to ask the phone company to turn that off for you. it is a service they provide--and you might even be paying for it.
