You need to destress before the exam for its that that makes the brain freeze-shut down for example drink a cup of chamomille tea will calm you and also talk to yourself positively thaat you know the material and no need to panic, that this test is not the endof the world, you will NOT die or life will end if you goof up-that sort of stuff. If this is affecting your grades even though you know the materialk then you should also talk to your teachers/guidance counselor for all are interested in you having every opportunity to get education-perhaps the teacher/counselor knows of ways that the teacher can work with you to destress the test situation for you. If you are adult already and this continues can affect adversely job situations so it may be in your best interest to talk to your family doctor(if child living at home talk to your parents for there may be a mild tranquilizer prescribed by family doctor you can take morning of test but I would not wait but would take one to make sure affected me positively on a day when no test maybe a weekend day.)There is help and no need to go through life or continue now being so stressed. Wish you luck!

First I would say, don't put so much emphasis on the importance of the exam.
Visualize yourself feeling calm and happy while you take the exam.
Study so you feel confident about the materials.
If you have a real handi-cap with exams, ask for special help, like having the questions read to you or being aloud to take them in a secluded quiet room.

your family doctor could help if they think the problem is severe because if you only have panic attacks where you can't do exams then they will help you learn breathing techniques and tell you to try to refocus your mind when the attack hits but if you panic at other times then you might need to see a counselor and possible medication for this problem.. start with the family doctor .

You do realize you posted your question in Pregnancy and Parenting, right?

I had the same problem in high School, though. I just had to concentrate on the questions and try not to worry about failing the test. It seemed, the more I worried, the worse I did. So, just study and know you did your best.

Maybe nobody who happens to be reading your questions has any good advice for you. Maybe you need professional help to overcome this issue.

(P.S. About the spelling - no should be know and panicking has a k in it.)
