Everyone who is evil wants to destroy the Jews, it includes radical communists, radical Muslims, radical theosophists/blavatskyists, Neo-nazis and in the past, the pagan Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, etc. Satan seems to have a fall guy(s) to attempt the job everytime. He of course hates the first people who returned to God when the rest of the world turned pagan and wants to blot out their memory. Do you think it would help if the Jews acknowledged their Messiah ?

The deceiver is going to attempt this till the end of days. After all Jesus said " You will not see me again until you say Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" What better way than to annihilate the people before they can acknowledge their Messiah and he actually comes to chain the deceiver ?
(hint: herod had it in his mind to forestall messiah too)

It does not matter if the Jews "convert" or not. Will they acknowledge a Messiah who came in the 1st century according to the prophecy of Daniel. The return of Messiah or the Son of Man is suspended in time till they acknowledge Him. Till that time, they will continue to face graver dangers from the deceiver attempting to forestall Him.
