You can't be serious.

If by some chance you are, which I doubt, then call a pharmacist or poison control center immediately. You can die from internal bleeding, usually from the stomach.

You want to be cut open or die?

Six is the most ibuprofen tablets/capsules that should be taken in a 24 hour day.

I don't think you're serious, but if you are, you need to consult a specialist.

First, that many may actually give you a "rebound" headache instead of getting rid of yours. That many can:
- cause diarrhea and nausea
- damage the kidneys - the body is trying to get rid of all that poison
- damage the retina of the eye causing vision problems later in life
- reduce your body's ability to respond to drugs in the future (your system becomes immune to the ibuprofen, like taking too much of any drug)
- in some cases, that many can lead to heart failure, stroke, and death

You don't say in your question if you've ever tried just taking the recommended dosage. Try just taking the recommended dosage and letting it work, before taking more. Take 2 as recommended, give it an hour before you take any more, then only another 1. Plus there are a lot of other ways to relieve pain, besides overdosing on drugs.
And I also wonder why you take so many - there may be an underlying problem that you're avoiding dealing with.

Don't take too much! If you take too much ibuprofen the long term effects are very hard on your liver. In some cases, it can result in liver failure! you should really be careful about that. If you are having pain so bad that you need those many ibuprofens, you should enlist the help of a doctor, maybe for a stronger medecine.

that's probably not enough to kill you

prolonged use of ibuprofen will lead to peptic ulcers and possibly renal failure

there are patients who have idiosyncratic reactions -some of them have their asthma triggered, etc. but you are obviously not one of them

ibuprofen does not affect the liver too adversely (paracetamol / acetaminophen is much worse in overdose)

if your ibuprofen is not doing the job at 6 tablets per day (ie 2 tabs 3X per day) you should see your family doctor and get some stronger pain relief sorted out, as well as possibly a bit of investigation as to why you are having this trouble and what can be done about it - if your headaches are worse, wouldn't you be better off fixing the intracranial bleed or intracranial mass lesion (not saying there actually is one, but you never know) rather than just upping your dose of pain relief?

the wiki page has a good list of possible adverse effects

Drowsiness
Seizures
Dizziness
Unsteadiness
Lungs

Breathing - difficult
Breathing - slow
Bladder and kidneys

Little to no urine production

It's very foolish to take more than the suggested dose. A quick search for "side effects of ibuprofen" at yahoo.com will lead you to a list of all the side effects and consequences for overdosing. If you keep it up you may find yourself on the path to ulcers, heart problems, or worse! Do some research and find out for yourself!

It is very hard on your kidneys. You must drink lots of water with Ibuprofen. Also, I have heard it can damage the lining of your stomach and intestine, but I don't know this for a fact. I do know the kidney problem is real and permanently damaging.

Kidney and liver damage are possible, as is GI bleeding and stomach issues.
If ibuprofen is not strong enough, get a stronger drug. Don't poison yourself.

well taking more than the recommended dose of medicine will kill your liver. it's hard to say when that will happen but it WILL happen. then you will need a liver transplant and with the long waiting list good luck on that. Plus you can overdose and die so stop doing it. If the recommended dose isn't working go to a doctor your bodies pain signals are trying to point out that something more serious is happening to you.
