Even a healthy diet isn't enough to lose fat. You have to exercise as well. Also, we can still become overfat from a healthy diet, though it takes more work than it would be from a bad diet.
Though it's harder for some people than others to lose bodyfat, it's never impossible. It's a matter of finding the right combination of good diet, daily caloric intake, and exercise. I don't buy it for a second that it's simply "genetics" and hence impossible. Anyone using that excuse isn't willing to do what it takes to lose the bodyfat and alter their habits.

You cannot always go by what people say that they eat.
I have literally sat across the table from people who brag about their healthy eating habits between bites of greasy disgusting junk that I would not even touch.
The question that you must ask is: What else does someone eat in addition to those healthy foods that they tell you about.
The human body has to obey the laws of physics just like any other physical entity.
As an analogy: If someone started a journey in a car with a half tank of gasoline and returns with a full tank of gasoline, the only possibility is that someone added more gasoline than the car burned.

A lot of people are overweigth because of their parents... there are two ways that happens. One is, if a child has two overweight parents, those parents will have a higher fat cell count and pass that on to children... since you can not get rid of fat cells, only shrink them, this will permanently make the child heavier than others, no matter how healthy they are...another way is if a child is taught unhealthy habits and eats too much as a child. Once overweight and once the child has gained all those cells, this will be harder to get off.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

they are usually the ones who have tried "every diet there is" which is usually crash diets (undereating). they end up slowing down metabolism dramatically and its pretty hard to get it back where it was.
people who have never tried a diet in their lifes and havent starved themselves have the fastest metabolism.
