to be exausted after a big tattoo, i got it done last night...but last night a was feelin alright, kinda nauseous...weird, but i have never had such a big tat..it took almost 3 hours for just the outline... so everything is A-OK or what??

Yes, it is normal. Even though you just sit there, a large tattoo is a big drain on the body. During the process of getting a tattoo, your body releases endorphins to dull the pain. The release of the hormones and your bodies reaction to them tires your body and effects your appetite.

Yeah, that's pretty normal. It's a huge stimulatory stress on your body to get a tattoo, especially a big one.
Make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Do try to eat a well-balanced meal or at least take some vitamins. If your skin doesn't have the resources to heal well, your tattoo will suffer.

large tattoos are very tiring. every time i get one ( i always get worked on for atleast two hours) i basically just want to go home and sleep. not sure about the loss of appetite, everybody is different. i usually have a headache and need to eat something afterward. good luck with your healing!

yes... after u sit for so long and have the pain and even pleasure..... u get tired and many people even have the loss of appetite..... i had a fairly large back piece done.... and i know that i felt exhausted when it was all over...... but the end result is so worth while... that u forget how tired u r.... and just enjoy the beauty of ur tattoo!!!

it's pretty normal to be tired after sitting through hours of tattooing. it tires your body out when you come down off the rush of it all. when i finished the last 3 hours of my calf tattoo i was all ready to crawl into bed and sleep.

Im sure its a huge stress on your body... just keep some water in you, or better yet some orange juice :o)

i pretty sure it is normal, you have to consider that you hyped yourself up and then put yourself through 3hrs of punishment. Marathoners don't even go through that.
